3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
473ml can. Pours a copper-red colour with an off-white head which sticks around for a while. Smells bittersweet, with citrus and malt, and some candy-like aromas. Tastes sweet. A great beer, would recommend for sure.

Clear bright orange with a two finger white. Nose is medium toffee and a hint of pear. Medium light sweetness and a hint of bitterness. Medium creamy mouth. Nice cream ale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
355 bottle from a sampler 12-pack from Liquor Depot, served in my cruise-liner two-tiered flute. (I hope to find a couple more nonicks, stemmed tulips, and one of those ancient "bumpy" hefe glasses.) Pours a faintly hazy, moderately-carbonated, orange-amber with an off-white head that leaves a few lace webs. Citrusy (grapefruit), piney hops dominate the aroma, followed by malt fragrances. Fresh, appealing citrus hops fill in the flavor, with a note of toasted malts lying low, but definitely there. Moderately-bodied, slightly creamy on the tongue, with a bright, crisp finish. I expected more of a creamy malt brew, but this hop-centered concoction is very pleasant and refreshing nonetheless.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
This is a weird one. Pour is pretty much Kool-Aid orange with...about the same amount of head, and carbonation. Nose is mostly caramel, hay and a bit of barnyard - it’s got that kinda gross rustic charm I like in an Irish red/cream ale. Taste-wise it’s a tiny bit sweet, with a good dose of club soda and a weird finish (don’t we all? ahem...). I feel like this stuff COULD be decent but...this wasn’t.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Light orange-amber pour, not much head. Very light aroma, some caramel malt and a touch of brightness from very light hops. Fairly light and malty flavour, again a touch of hops, a little metallic. Pretty boring, but still better than a crappy lager.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Brass coloured with a thin white head that disappeared rapidly. Filtered with moderate carbonation.
Aromas of...of....of not much. The nose is almost non-existent. Maybe a bit of caramel malts.
Taste wise I get some balanced hops and malts, and some caramel on the swallow. It gets grassier as it warms.
Overall, I have no idea why this is called a cream ale. Not particularly creamy. It’s drinkable, but in a forgettable fashion.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Copper amber body with a minimal white head which dissipated entirely leaving no residue or lacing whatsoever. Hop nose: pine, fresh-cut grass fairly generic. Extremely light bodied and sessionable. Low carbonation, low percieved bitterness, The finish is abrupt and carries the flavors of the hops without the bitterness, quite unique, but that is really all this beer brings to the table.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dorée, un col plus ou moins mousseux pour une cream ale. Des saveurs simple de céréales et d’agrumes... Décevant...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can @ Capers Belleville. Pours a near clear amber with a short-lived small white head. Aromas are earth, wood, and fruity esters. Tastes are coppery malts and light hop bite. Light body, creamy, plenty of carbonation, gentle medium dry bitter finish. I’ll buck the trend on this one and call it a pleasant sessionable ale.
