Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jun 30, 2008 A golden ale with a thin white head. Light caramel malt aroma, non-descript. In mouth, a grassy biscuitty malt, some crisp hops, refreshing. Tasted around April 2007. tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 15, 2004 Mild fruity aroma with a touch of herbal hops. Clear golden coloured with shy, white head that diminishes to cover with marginal lacing. Sweet with a grainy note and a pleasant floral/herbal hop flavour and restrained bitterness. Medium-light body with fair carbonation that pricks at the tongue. Bottle. Thanks, jercraigs! Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 9, 2005 likely reformulated since these early reviews. Smell originally malty and fruity, then plain after warming up to room temperature. Short lived head. Creamy and malty, with a spot of fruit. OK with dinner at the end of a summer day. Radek Kliber (3930), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Sep 8, 2002 Pretty average. Typical aroma for that kind of ale, maybe a bit to sweet. Decent bitterness, slight scent of black berry pop out which was nice. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2008 Bottle (341ml). Courtesy of GregClow. Yay, cream ale - frippin’ marvy. Clear deep amber pour, smallish fizzy white diminishing head (3-) - look, gotta give it props for SOMETHING. Smells like popcorn and something vaguely sweet. Tastes like a generic Canadian beer with a touch of buckwheat honey. Lightly chewy body, nice carbonation, a little sweet and roasty up front and a wee bit bitter in the tail. Pretty boring, but BTB (better than Blue). jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jul 15, 2003 Crisp amber brew with a nice foamy head that dissipates to a thinner head fairly quickly
Nice bitterness, more pronounced as the glass goes on. Aroma is faintly of hops and malt.
