Hazy brown-red pour with an average creamy beige head. Dry, nutty roast aroma, slightly herbal - very weak. The taste is nutty roast caramel, but oddly sour, strange considering it was on draught ... Light, astringent mouthfeel, virtually flat, quick-finishing with a dry lemon-sour linger. Mmm, not so much, thanks. terrybail (337), London, Ontario, Canada

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2009 473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a dark brown colour with a hint of red and a medium-sized tan head. Nose of caramel malt with light roastiness and nuttiness. Flavour has more prominent nuttiness, with caramel malt more muted and roastiness subtler than in the nose. Slightly dry finish. Not spectacular but good. Boutip (2355), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Sep 28, 2009 Can: Poured a clear deep brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and not lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with notes of maple syrup. Taste is dryer then expected with clear notes of caramel malt and a maple finish. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation. Maple notes were surprising but overall a bit of a run of the mill beer. cfrancis (312), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

Non descript darker ale. A bit too bubbly for my taste with an utterly neutral nose. A bit of maltiness and not much else to remember it by. probstk (1030), Nepean, Ontario, Canada

App.: Deep brown, clear, so-so tan head.
Aroma: Milk chocolate, medium-roasted coffee, slightly nutty, very light molasses, heavy on the malt.
Palate: Medium body and fairly full but soft carbonation.
Flav.: Nuttier than the nose, still some medium-roasted coffee, some green hops, slightly earthy and British; dry with a somewhat watery finish.
A pleasant Ontario micro. Diogène (558), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
