This is the only dark beer I have come across that drinks down smooth. For those of you who hate lagers, but like smooth beers that are easy to down, this one is it. Perhaps a bit dangerous at that. Tastes like a mild oatmeal stout, medium bodied, with almost no aftertaste. A must try! matt7215 (1002), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Pours a dark brown colour with a hint of red and a medium-sized tan head. Nose of caramel malt with light roastiness and nuttiness. Flavour has more prominent nuttiness, with caramel malt more muted and roastiness subtler than in the nose. Slightly dry finish. Not spectacular but good. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Front is sweet, the top medium, the finish is highly acidic, somewhat sour, fair hop bite, different, I will give it that. Radek Kliber (4001), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Appearance: Brown toned brew with large, frisky fine beaded head. Nose: Medium rich with sweet brown malts , hint of caramel with roasted barley on side. 7- Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied brew. Smoky roasty mid front with chewable meaty palate. Substantial with enough soft sweets and mid end. Neat to see smoky feel . Solid, refreshing light silky bodied smoked dark ale. Thicker version of this ale would be a blast.
