750mL swing-top bottle poured a pale amber color with loads of off-white head with plenty of fine lacing. Aromas of earthy hops. Taste is earthy hop bitterness with some malty sweetness, but mostly bitter. A nice flavourful beer with good carbonation and a medium body with a nice mouthfeel.

Really nice beer! Lots of hops on the front end, a great sweet-ish backing through the middle with a nice bitter finish. Beauty top to bottom.

Bottle bought at LCBO, Sept 6, 2011. Big, long lasting frothy head, smells of citrus, a little caramely. Beautiful amber colour. Citrusy, bitter hops on impact, a bit creamy and bubbly, bitter lingers on back of tongue. A hoppy ale for certain. Fresh and delicious.

On Tap at Beer Bistro, Toronto 14/11/2010 Malty aroma. Amber red coloured hoppy a little rich on the palate and fruity with a hint of dryness in a bitter grainy rye malt finish.

Bottle pours deep amber with a white head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, brown sugar, and some earthy hops. Flavor shows the same with additional notes of toast and some grassy hops.

Amber pour with an off-white head. The aroma is lightly spicy with a nice fresh hoppiness. Fairly assertive bitterness with a nice lingering hoppiness. Fresh malt and a bit of toasted malt character as well. Quite a nice surprise.

Bright copper coloured body with a large, dense off-white head. Strong aroma of fresh hops, a touch of caramel and a good malt backbone. Medium-bodied; Definite fresh hop flavour of pine and citrus with a little resiny hops noticeable. Alcohol and some light nuts come through at the end, but the hops are the star here with a good amount of balance malt showing all the way through. Overall, a nice fresh hop beer that shows really good character and is definitely worth trying, if you can find it. I sampled this pint on draught at barVolo in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 10-October-2009.

Taps n bottles. Old rusty bronze colour, with an eggshell cap leaving good sticky lace. Spicy and hoppy nose with dark bread and caramel malts, stone fruits too. I feel like a farmer at harvest time. Where is my straw hat? Tastes a bit of toffee sweetness, spicebox like hops, some brown bread crust, and citric pith. Ahh, there’s my straw hat. I will adorn myself in it and harvest the bounty of the goods. A cornucopia of spicy hops and bready malts. Creamy, medoum bodied and appropriately named.

Rich amber pour, frothy white head. Aroma is loaded with caramel, stone fruit, and hop pellets. Flavor is lighter than the aroma, hops, caramel malt. Beer is like a blend of a barleywine and pale ale. Interesting.
