Muskoka Harvest Ale was our brewery’s pioneering venture into seasonal beers. Now in it’s fourth year, our Harvest Ale symbolizes the end of the growing season and the process of gathering mature crops from the fields Dry hopped and brewed using the finest ingredients we can find, this ale has a subtle grassy character reminiscent of the freshly cut harvest. It’s our way of celebrating another prosperous growing season. And we’re proud to share it with you.

Yellowish head atop a mahogany body. Nose of orange and ... garlic? Good resiny pine flavour but it’s odd, there is little "fresh" about this Harvest Ale. A very nice beer.

750 ml bottle purchased at LCBO Hawkesbury on September 22, 2013. Coppery reddish, small head. Spicy hop aroma, notes of dried wheat. Taste of dry and floral grapefruit, well hopped, good bitterness. Good harvest!

750ml bottle from the LCBO.2013 vintage. Pours a dark hazy amber with a pillowy beige head that leaves some good lace. Nose is grass and citrus with an earthy note. Nice sweet caramel malt balance with a touch of spice at the front extending to a long bitter finish. Medium creamy mouth with average carbonation. Very nice.

Nice, big beer from Muskoka. Crisp bitterness followed by a mellowed malty flavour. Nice touch of the hops in the finish. Great feel on the palate. Nice offering from Muskoka (though I like some of their other items more).

75 cl bottle, Calgary, AB, Canada via Coop. Murky orange-brown, light tan head. Resinous pine aroma with some caramel maple in the background. Smooth, some nutmeg and clove, then sweet caramel. Finish is long with more hop resin. Very nice.

Ambrée/rousse. Très houblonné. Malté. Grain gillé. Caramel brûlé. Bonne amertume. Très sucré pour le style. Floral. Résineux. Herbacé. Raisin. Très complexe et délicieuse.

750 ml bottle. Pours a thinly veiled dark amber-copper with a resilient, creamy white head. Aroma is caramel, grass, spices, vegetable oils. Flavor is caramel, pine resin, earthy, sandy. Finish is very herbal, lots of hops. Bitterness is high. Some earth, and a touch of citrus, mostly lemon. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Good, but too much caramel at the forefront.

Tried the 2013 Vintage. Man, they put those corks in there for life! Aroma is a very nice hop, citrus notes but also kind of earthy, musky. Appearance is great, deep amber-brown colour and a well-formed rocky, lacy head. Feel is kind of oily or creamy at first, but not really big through the middle. The finish is very nice with a burst of bitter dryness at the end. Taste is bitter throughout, but tempered by an initial sweetness and that nice creamy feel. Really quite a good beer.

On tap at ’el camino’, Ottawa, a reddish clear with a frothy head. Armpits of hops and some gray note. Taste a nice hoppy bitterness, refreshing with a hint of spiciness.
