4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 courez (11) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 11, 2011
Purchased at the LCBO. Refreshing ale with a lovely, citrusy bitterness up front. Pours a beautiful copper colour. A very good ale to drink in fall weather.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 mgermani (967) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 8, 2011
Pours a clear bright pumpkin orange with a thin but lasting head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet light malt with a slight sour hop funk. Hop bite right from the get go, then the flavour rounds out to slightly watery caramel malt. Very present alcohol - peppery finish. Crisp body with ample but not overstated carbonation. Quaffable, but slightly sweet and boozy without being thick. Good all-round.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 patricks110 (1212) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 7, 2011
The pour is a bright coppery auburn with a finger of yellow tinted head and no carbonation. Beautiful thick lines of frothy lacing. THe aroma is fresh and grassy with a huge dry hop and light malty toasted caramel and overall sweetness. The middle is sweet and fruity with a beautiful grapefruit and sweet caramely malts. A huge resinous and dry finish with a prolonged hop bitterness. A good amount of grapferuit acidity and light herbal pine. The mouthfeel is a little to lacking in body with no carbonation. Overall, a beautiful fresh hop brew with a taste more akin to an IPA then an APA.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 kevinsenn (552) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 5, 2011
750mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours clear copper colour. Aroma is beautiful - citrusy C-hops. Taste is very hoppy - grassy and citrusy. Medium bitterness hits you up front, with little bitterness in the aftertaste. Another nice seasonal brew from a great brewery.

Pour copper orange with off white head good lace. Aroma harvest like aroma, cereal grain, bitter hops, oats, sweet malt. Taste cereal grain, quite malty, bitter hops, slight floral/floral, light caramel. MF medium sticky body fine carb. Solid session brew tasty big malt profile good but way to expensive.

Bottle. Copper with thin white head and lacing. Malt and hop scent. Nicely hopped but more ESB than APA. Woodiness and caramel. Gentle sweetness and a bit of hop kick in the finish.

750ml bottle from LCBO. Hazy dark amber with an off white head, drank while camping and had a lot of fun shining flashlights and looking at embers through it :) Light hops and malts, some spice but plain. High carbonation, average body, highly bitter and dry, quite tasty - pleasantly tasty.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 cfrancis (1769) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 28, 2011
This is one of the better harvest ales that I’ve ever had. Pours a deep copper with a big frothy top. Aroma is a great mixture of earthy malt and grassy hops. Taste is deep, rich malt character with grassy, earthy hops that taste green. Rich mild bitterness that grows on your palate. I need more than a bottle more.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 scantron (63) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 28, 2011
September 26, 2011; 6.4% abv, 750mL swingtop bottle, BBD: none [guy at the counter said 6 months], refrigerated, mug
Strong floral aromas with sweet malt, grapefruit, pine and spice. Pours a deep strawberry copper with a thick and creamy tan head. Head is pillowy and the beer laces well. No visible carbonation. Tastes of grapefruit rind, pine and floral with sweet malts. A light piney resin bitterness which lingers long. Medium to thick bodied with almost no carbonation; just enough to tickle the back of my throat. The bitterness is refreshing but lingers after the finish for a bit too long. This is what an APA is about. Hoppy just the way I like it but with enough malt for taste..
