Muskoka Harvest Ale was our brewery’s pioneering venture into seasonal beers. Now in it’s fourth year, our Harvest Ale symbolizes the end of the growing season and the process of gathering mature crops from the fields Dry hopped and brewed using the finest ingredients we can find, this ale has a subtle grassy character reminiscent of the freshly cut harvest. It’s our way of celebrating another prosperous growing season. And we’re proud to share it with you.

Aroma: Very hoppy; citrus, grapefruit, lemon and herbal notes. Appearance: Gold with copper glimmers, large creamy and long lasting head; sticking and leaving a very nice lacing . Taste: Attack is all citrus with strong grapefruit notes. Cascade is dominant. Love this hop. That beer is smooth, round, and doesn’t hit the tongue. Grapefruit flavors are dominant but combined with fresh herbal and hay accents. Bitter and smooth at the same time this is more like an American pale ale to me. And a good one!

Dark amber color with creamy head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, maybe some fudge. Very good toffee flavor, with smooth mouthfeel, and correct bitterness; the hop is quite resiny; long final. Balanced and bold. Very good.

Aroma is very full with grassy hop aromas as well as sweet carmel, and earthy soil-like notes. The colour is between ruby and golden brown. Pours with a thick, but fine beige pillowy head. Medium or medium-heavy sweetness with a bitter finish. Enters mouth slightly creamy, and leaves with some astringency.

750ml bottle Big, long lasting frothy head, smells of citrus, a little caramely. Beautiful amber colour. Citrusy, bitter hops on impact, a bit creamy and bubbly, bitter lingers on back of tongue. A hoppy ale for certain. Fresh and delicious.

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2014 Bouteille 750 ml. 2012. 7%. Excellente. Version 2013 plus de caramel. Version 2014 trop de caramel. Shit.

Clear rusty brown pour with a tone of foamy head. It was lacing by the time I tried to get a picture of it. Fresh cut field smell, not grass but like a local park with wildflowers. Hops and grapefruit also in the nose. Very light compared to the other beers I’ve had tonight. Usually autumn seasonals are thicker and have more body. This reminds me of a Pale Ale. It’s got that hops bite in the back of the throat and it goes down very light. This would be fantastic if I liked true Pale Ales. Unfortunately I don’t and this wasn’t at all what I expected. I know people that will love this, like my wife, but it’s not really for me. Even my wife finds it odd because it’s not a pale ale but it has hints of one.

Pours clear and slightly darker than amber or light caramel with very frothy head. Aroma is mild from the pour. Taste blends sweet hops with sharp acidity

Pours a dark amber colour with a big thick creamy head. The aroma starts strong alc. then a soapy fruit hop aroma. The flavour is caramel sweet and citrus with a light hoppy herb body is thick on the palate and a nice bitterness from the dry hopping.
