Beautiful amber colour. RIght off the bat, hit the fruity scent of fresh hops. Sweet passionfruit and caramel notes at the front, with a heavy, but not overpowering bitterness at the end.

Poured a bubbly off white head, has a dark amber appearance. Heavily carbonated. Good lacing. Hops are quite apparent in the aroma. Also, the same can be said about the taste. Quite hoppy with some lighter malts and a creamy mouthfeel. Smooth going down as well. Has a good balance of cascade hops and malts, with hops maybe a bit more aggressive. Very good stuff! Too bad it’s not year round!

Bottle. Hazy light brown-amber. Has a toffeeish, sweeter aroma. Has toffee, caramel, alcohol and an earthy hop balance.

On tap at Hintonburg Public House. Murky copper with a frothy off-white head. Flavors are bread, toasted cereals, caramel, citrus and wet socks with herbal and earthy notes. Medium body, moderate carbonation, oily texture.

Not good at all. That being said i am not much of a a pale ale lover, so that might be contributing factor to me not enjoying the taste of this beer. Tastes like pine needles.

341mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a medium beige head. Nose brings out earthy notes, caramel malt and some stale bready notes. Flavour is very malty and earthy, with bready caramel dominating with a touch of hops. Seems a bit stale. Okay.

Draft at MacGreg’s. Dark copper color with a nice light beige head and nice lace. Aroma has notes of light toasted malts, floral and light resins hops with some dark fruits and yeast. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning, notes of yeast and ripe fruit. Floral and moderate bitterness in the aftertaste.

2015 batch, 6-pack from LCBO. Pours a clear-ish burnt orange with minimal off white head. Nose is pine, earthy hops, orange rind, grass. Taste is balanced, earthy/grassy/bready malt with herbal/citrus hops and a nice bitterness on the finish. Tastes like fall. Reminiscent of Mad Tom for sure.
