Can bought at an LCBO in Toronto/Canada. Overall a good refreshing hefe weizen. Yellow golden color with a foamy head that loses its 2inch layer and keeps only a minimal head layer. Aroma of banana and clove. Taste mirros the aroma plus a hoppy citrusy dry side-taste that makes the beer a bit tropical. It reminds me of a Schöfferhofer weizen a bit. In the aftertaste there is some white wine and vinegar present.

Can from the LCBO. Cloudy pale gold with a large white head that fades fairly quickly and leaves some lace. Nose is banana, spice and a touch of honey. Lightly sweet honey and bread with a light spice. Mouth is medium light and crisp with soft carbonation. Nice enough Weiss

lots of head fades fast lots of tiny fast carbination. some of it at bottom does NOT look unfiltered some at top does. Can smells like beer and banana bread & spice(a bite) more banana bread. In glass smells sweet, spice, beer(ale) smell. Taste coreander/clove, a little sweet some water a wheat taste but not much of a banana bread taste more like lychee fruit or something.(little odd for a heff wheat beer) Not great but not awful. Cheer’s.

Appearance: hazy pale gold with a short white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, spotty lacing. (3/5) Aroma: banana, clove, bready yeast. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild to moderate bitter. (6/10) Palate: light body, lively to moderate carbonation, medium duration finish. (3/5) Meh. A decent - if uninspiring - interpretation of a fairly uninspiring style. No real negatives, but it’s just not exciting. Got bored and dumped the second half. (12/20)

Mondial de la bière 2015 - Dorée, avec une auréole de mousse blanche. Nez de melon, de levure, de banane et de blé. Goût de banane, levure et de blé. Sèche en bouche et rafraîchissante!

Poured a pale golden colour, large bubbly head, ok lacing. Fairly well carbonated. Has a strong bitter mouthfeel. Tangy on the palate. Aromas are not too offensive, pretty tame with malts and yeast. Citrus flavours, lime, citric acid. Not too bad, sort of a weird overall feel to it.

Tall can from the LCBO. Pours a foggy yellow with thin white head. Nose is banana and spice. Taste delivers on the traditional flavours, but somewhat muted with a slightly bitter edge. I’d prefer it a bit less carbonated. Tasty wheat beer but Side Launch Wheat is still the Ontario king of the style.

pours a golden, translucent yellow with medium, white head. strong initial aromas of bread that don’t seem to last. Lots of fruit flavours on the tongue that are quickly quashed by a fairly prominent bitterness which is not normally evident in this style. Maybe it is just not to my tastes, but I would have preferred to see less bitterness to allow the natural yeast flavours to come through. Certainly has potential though.

A decent if slightly one dimensional addition to the Weiss beer. I go this under ’Muskoka Summer Weiss" and it was slightly expired. Nothing added to this beer as far as spice or citrus goes, just barley wheat hops and yeast, straight forward, and decent. It is an earthy beer, slightly bitter finish on a neutral start. Medium carbonation for the style. Boring yeast profile. It appears to be beer. Good body for the style, coats the tongue nicely and you can feel it going down. This is one of the few hefe’s that improves with added lemon in my opinion. Decent edition, has no bad characteristics many solid , and few good, no great... Just another solid entry.
