hopdog (5527), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 17, 2007 341ml bottle acquired from radiomgb (thanks!). Poured a lighter and slightly hazy straw color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of bananas, spices, and light citrus. Subtle tastes of bananas, wheat, and spices. Body on the thin side. Lubiere (4464), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Sep 30, 2006 Hazy golden weizen with a thin white creamy head. Bananas and cloves with light sulfur in aroma. In mouth, a classy weizen with bananas and clovs, and light lemony notes. An OK weizen. 6 pack 12.95$ at beerstore in Ottawa. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 14, 2006 On-tap at West 50 Pourhouse. Lots of lace, some wheat aroma, perhaps the glass was cleaned in antiseptic, though only a few days’ old. Above average carbonation. Drinkable and not bad, though too sweet and carboard fruitiness, but mediocre for the style. Radek Kliber (3926), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2006 Bottle. Pours as hazy citric liquid with medium sized yet fine head. Neat soft wheat aroma, plenty of banana character soften with peanut mush. Neat impression given by aroma was greatly damaged already with first sip. Medicinal, thin substance. Sadly. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2006 <!-- b -->Bottle (341ml)<!-- /b -->. <!-- i -->At BeerBistro, 2006 Golden Tap Awards<!-- /i -->. Murky pale yellow, with a fizzy white head. Aroma of banana and lemon, candy malt, yeast, light spice, and very soft wheaty grain. Taste has all those elements, but very weak, the fruit seems a little fake, the grain seems a little stale - the taste drops off fast, but leaves a mildly unpleasant sugary brackish taste behind. Very watery body, it’s decently carbonated, but there’s not much here other than a pleasant aroma for me. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 28, 2006 Draft @ C’est What FOSB. Hazy pastel yellow, small moderate head. Lots of clove aroma, with mild banana. Flavour has a healthy dose of banana up front, and is swamped by assertive clove, only to have the banana sneak back and forth into awareness throughout the glass. Light bitterness. Average to medium palate is appropriate. Clove is more prominent than I like but this is a very decent hefe. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Oct 19, 2006 (Bottle) Pours a pretty poor beer. At first taste I thought of my Dad’s Molson Golden... than I got hit by the weak and wet wheat. This was another poor performance by Toronto’s cottage brewers. blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2006 Bottle at beerbistro during the 2006 Golden Tap Awards. Pours a hazy yellow with an average size white head. Mild aroma of wheat, yeast, spices and fruit (banana and lemon) -- a little sweet. Somewhat watery flavour of wheat, yeast, spices and fruit -- meh, it’s just O.K. Light bodied. A little bland but it’s decent.
