3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear orange gold with modest-sized slightly off-white head. Aroma is cirtus hops with a fair amount of grainy malt. Flavour is sweet, cereal grains with a big citric hop kick, maybe some pine too. Delicate carbonation, nice body. Nice one to have available in both the Beer Store. Now I have something to get when I return my empties.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Muskoka brewery, you rarely disappoint and this beer is no exception. Pours a manuka honey gold with a short lived white frothy cap. The aroma is hoppy in every way, orange rind, pine, grapefruit, touches of tropical fruit, with lighter notes of stale malt coming through as cereal and bread, it works. The flavour is straight up hop, grapefruit and pine, that mingle a bit with some malt sweetness that shows up on the edges of the tongue. A sort of astringent pine taste in the finish that mix’s with the malt to equal a very enticing end to every sip.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pale ’ale’ colour with a foamy white head. Citrus orange and grapefruit flavours open up, with a bit of hoppy mango-like malts following suit. Finish is rightfully bitter and fresh. Excellent IPA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle [355ml]. I’ve had many bottles of this and have had it numerous times on tap so it’s time to finally rate it! Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Slightly mild but nice aroma of citrus hops and tropical fruit along with some caramel malt and cereal grain in the back. Tasty flavour of citrus hops, some pine and tropical fruit along with some pale malt in the back. Nice bitterness to it with a decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. Great job Muskoka, this is an easy-to-drink, refreshing, flavourful IPA -- I’m very psyched to have another solid IPA in Ontario, it’s about time!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Flavour and aroma are both quite fruity, definitely some orange, maybe grapefruit among others. The bitterness lasts from the initial sip through the aftertaste. Super nice refreshing beer, nice to see some IPAs coming out of Ontario.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 6, 2013 2011-06-26. No notes, found the hop character to have more tropical fruit along with the citrus. Bit more green hops come out in the finish as the glass goes on. Bit more body than the cask sample, which is to be expected. Lovely. On Tap at Session 2011
2011-06-21. Hazy orange body with a modest frothy white head. 3+ Modest hoppy aroma has an interesting citrus character - orange and tangerine. 7+ Flavour is similar, lovely citrus, lemons, grapefruit, lingering bitterness and lemon seed in the aftertaste. 7+ Smooth average palate is just a touch light but this seems to help make it refreshing. Quite nice, and significantly better than my previous sample. 7/4/7+/3/15+ Cask, C’est What Festival of Small Breweries
2011-07-19. Crisp orange body with a small beige head. Flavour is modestly bitter throughout, interesting fruity character, sort of a mango tropical fruit like character. Light bitterness lingers in the finish. Modest hoppy aroma is similar, mango and fruit. Average palate is lightly carbonated. Okay, but I expected a lot more based on what others had described. I will have to try this one again I think. 6/3/6/3/14 - 3.2 On tap at Volo, Toronto

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Definitely big pine presence up front. Not the balance you’d get from the true greats in this category, but nonetheless a brilliant hoppy brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A veritable pine forest in a liquid format. Deep amber, pours a large froth of sticky beige foam. Nose of freshly broken pine needles, mint, citrus, a bit of caramel. Quite bitter, heavily astringent, with only a subtle malty sweetness. Medium full body, lovely fresh hop bitterness is very bright. Excellent effort.

Bottle purchased at the beer store. Pours a amber colour, nice thick white head and droopy lacing. Decent carbonation. Aroma is hoppy and sweet. Tastes like hop and bites a little bitter. Nice brew.
