Stellar IPA , thank you Muskoka. This brewery has had trouble finding it’s feetbut this is so very good.
Oh and it screams Muskoka, fresh. crisp and and a ton of pine.

I haven’t been giving Mad Tom its due, usually choosing its big brother Twice As Mad Tom. Beautiful bronze pour with stone fruit - peaches, I get - and grapefruit on the nose. More of the same on the tongue, along with bits of pine and resiny hops. A slightly astringent bitterness at the finish.

Eccellente ipa, colore ambra chiaro con schiuma bianca, buona aroma erbaceo, ottima al palato con un amaro giusto e un bel finale luppolato. Bene la carbonazione.

Pours an orange-gold colour with a foamy off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is a bit fruity-- peaches and grapefruits are present, and some caramel and resins notes. Flavor has a decent bitterness with notes of orange and peach. Good bitter finish.

ENG: New, fresh arrival of 355ml bottles. Purchased in Liquor Mart in Winnipeg, poured into the Teku. Light-golden, a bit opalescent color with medium, tan head. Aromas are very weak, maybe a bit caramelish. Tastes fruity, like strawberries and other ’berries. A bit citrusy and piney too. Very delicate bitter in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation and medium body. Overall a bit interesting taste notes, but other than that there’s nothing what keep your attention for longer.
PL: Nowy, świeży sort butelek 355ml. Zakupione w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelane do Teku. Barwa jasno-złota, nieco opalizująca, średnia, jasna piana. Aromaty dość słabo wyczuwalne, głównie karmelowe. W smaku owocowe - truskawki i różne leśne jagody. Nieco cytrusowe i żywiczne. W posmaku bardzo delikatna goryczka. Średnie nasycenie, średnie odczucie w ustach. Podsumowując nawet interesujące nuty smakowe, ale poza tym nic szczególnego to piwo nie prezentuje.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour is golden and hazy. Smell is pine and tropical fruits with a twist of alcohol. Not bad as well. Medieum body, texture is rough and not very pleasant to the tongue. After taste is long in the back of the tongue and very citrusy. There are way better IPA out there but this one is still enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Guelph LCBO. Thanks Peter. Aroma: caramel, orange zest, citrus, tad of pines. App: hazy copper with small white head and some lacing. Taste and palate: light medium body, light sweetness, light to medium long bitter finish. Average carbonation. Overall: a good IPA, enjoyed the orange attack in mouth. Didn’t like that much that it was that much malty. Is this an extraordinary IPA? unfortunately no. There are way better IPA’s in Quebec but I still enjoyed it.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours slightly hazy pale amber with one finger of rocky white head, excellent retention and lacing. (5/5) Nose is tropical fruit, pithy citrus, pine resin, caramel malt. (8/10) Taste is mild sweet, strong bitter. (8/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering slightly sticky bitter finish. (4/5)
Solid IPA - lots of hop bitter, citrus, and tropical fruit (mango and pineapple), balanced and supported with just enough malt. Can’t say I’m noticing any difference with its “Now Unfiltered” designation, other than the colour now being slightly hazy - I’d be lying if I said I could smell or taste the difference. Then again, it has been almost exactly a year since I had a filtered one, so… And yes, I once rated this a 9/10 - consider this updated rating more accurate. I was young(er) and foolish then - now I’m old(er) and, well, still foolish. (16/20)
