Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 12, 2001 Very fresh-tasting. Good bready malt and pleasing hop note. I’m not a huge fan of ’premium lagers’ but this is an acceptable example. MartinT (4458), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jul 21, 2002 Some grassy hop bitterness…Some caramel in the malt…Nowhere near Anchor’s… Lubiere (3410), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 22, 2005 Light golden lager with collapsing white head. Grassy aroma with chalky perfumy notes. Crisp malts with sweet finish, and german styles hops in mid mouth. Again, chalky mouthfeel. Radek Kliber (3403), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 9, 2002 Nothing special . Does not taste like lager . Small and weak head . HogTownHarry (3361), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Nov 19, 2007 Bottle (341ml). Via trade with matt7215. Clear light gold, huge diminishing frothy white head - nice lacing. The aroma is not bad - a hint of pvc up front, but plenty of real cereal grain malt and - gasp! - actual light weedy hops. The taste is pretty run-of-the-mill - follows the aroma, but does seem a tad harsh - clean, but harsh. Slightly weak body, a bit chewy, mild carbonation, and a slightly bitter aftertaste - the finish is fairly quick. Decent deck beer if you’re sitting in a .... muskoka chair.
