I can’t believe people are rating this beer that low. It isn’t Steelback. My lager was well within the style guidelines and finished quite clean. I give it thumbs up!

Oct 5, 2008 6 pack from the LCBO. Consumed in one evening. This beer is yet another great example of how buck-a-beers can actually be pretty damn tasty. Mediocre malt body, bland and standard, no adjuncts, but the hops really shine in this one. Really nice dryness, bitterness, and lemony aspect to the whole experience (all more or less at the same time). Makes a great party beer, or just a great casual sitting around, not-wanting-to-drink-an-Imperial-Stout beer. Giver a try. Ontario’s new slogan should be: "Ontario, land of buck-a-beers, which are actually pretty decent!"

Proof that a "craft" brewer can make swill.
A chemical bitterness and a bit of maltiness. Pass.

<b>App.</b>: Clear golden with a frail white foam.
<b>Aroma</b>: Grains, cereals, light grassy hops, a touch of old apple juice,
<b>Palate</b>: Medium+ body, fairly soft carbonation, smooth and surprisingly substantial. Reminiscent of a Pilsner in a way.
<b>Flav.</b>: Much like the nose, mainly grain/cereal, with a bit of grassy hops and some light non-descript fruitiness; lightly off-dry with a wee hint of bitterness (quite wee) and a very light caramel apple finish.<br /><br />
Didn’t realize I was buying a discount beer until I paid. Not bad, all things considered.

Jan 16, 2008 This lager poured a light yellow colour with next to no head, even after a vigourous pour.l To the nose there are scents of corn, hopps and a little ripe fruit. First taste was smooth but a little watery. Not much of an aftertaste. Flavours of corn, sweet malt and spice??? Finish is nothing. a faint beer flavour plus corn. Flavour just seems to disappear. Not too bad but lifeless.

Nov 19, 2007 <b>Bottle (341ml)</b>. <i>Via trade with matt7215</i>. Clear light gold, huge diminishing frothy white head - nice lacing. The aroma is not bad - a hint of pvc up front, but plenty of real cereal grain malt and - gasp! - actual light weedy hops. The taste is pretty run-of-the-mill - follows the aroma, but does seem a tad harsh - clean, but harsh. Slightly weak body, a bit chewy, mild carbonation, and a slightly bitter aftertaste - the finish is fairly quick. Decent deck beer if you’re sitting in a .... muskoka chair.
