Corked bottle from Steamworks Liquor Store, Vancouver, as Muskoka Oddity
vintage 2013, bb 30 Sept 2014

Hazy blond color with medium sized compact head. Belgian aroma, lightly spicy and fruity, some esters, very light soap. Dynamic mouthfeel, lean and with very moderate sweetness; nice malt flavor, with delicate fruit and spice presence, no dominating traits; correct bitterness.
Has a few merits: clean, great balance, harmony and not showing too much the spices.
Very nice.

Pours a light amber, with a very thin, one finger white head. Aromas of citrus, banana and a slight mustiness underlying it all. Tastes of citrus, and a some bitterness on the swallow. If you know "the Belgium Taste" this one is spitting it out big time. Overall, this is a strange beer that seems like an ok beer, but somehow manages to convince you that it is a superior beer. And it is.

Quite spicy with cloves dominant but not overpowering. Some light sweetness and moderate citrus bitterness. Medium sticky mouth with lively carbonation.

Wheat, spices and fruit in the nose. Taste is a refreshing, fruity Belgian ale, but not overpowered by Belgian yeast. A range of fruit tastes including citrus, citrus peel, tropical fruit and ripe berries are also nicely set off by a hint of toffee. Very tasty, thirst quenching and well blended.

Bottle @ ZZT 9 thanks to Dutchdrebus. Opaque yellow color, small white head. Canít smell anything due to the hayfever goddamn. Taste malts, a bit yeasty, some hops, a bit bitter. Donít know why, maybe because I canít get the aroma good enough due to the hayfever, but Iím not too impressed. Medium body and carbonation.
