COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Each year the tempered thaw of Muskoka winter gives rise to new and strange creations. Legends date back to the 1800’s when lumberjacks and fur traders took to the woods and ecnountered the mysterious culture and wildlife in the unknown Northern region. Today, we echo our ancestors’ quest and have unearthed this season’s most distinct offerings. The culmination of these ingredients rests in the LEGENDARY MUSKOKA SPRING ODDITY brew.

We invite you to Release The Legend.

Ingredients: Pure Muskoka Water, Heather Tips, Juniper Berries, Sweet Orange Peel Shavings, North American Malts, Noble Hops, Belgian Yeast and Belgian Candi Sugar.

Bottle of the 2013. Hazy golden with a pale head. Aroma is yeast, caramel, a little clove and banana. Slightly slick mouthfeel, sweet on the palate with a touch of subtle bitterness and a little booze on the finish. Taste is caramel, cooked pineapple, blood orange, candied mango.

Beer share. Horse blanket aroma. Creamy malt taste. Fruity. Quite smooth. Yummy.

Pours orange golden and slightly opaque, nice carbonation produces a rocky white head with some lacing. Complex bouquet of aromas including citrus fruits, aniseed, licorice, black pepper, horse blankets and hay. The palate pretty much follows the nose, very complex and you can really tell the belgian yeasts went to work on this one. Finish is moderately dry and quick, with some warm booziness lingering. I might pick up one to cellar for a couple of years.

A bit underwhelming. Very light sweet yeasty aromatics aroma. Light flavor of spices, no strong yeast notes. Medium body - nice for this style. Average to moderate bitterness for the style but no real hop flavors. Slightly bitter finish with a hint of alcohol. I was expecting more yeast character for a "Belgian" style. They put spices in for what they couldn’t do with the yeast.

Drank on tap (12 oz) under the name Legendary Oddity, at Brothers Beer Bistro (Ottawa) on February 26, 2013. Honey golden, little head. Citrus hoppy aroma, notes of spicy and sweet herbs. Hoppy taste sweet but dry, spicy notes of wheat, aftertaste of crushed grain. It is very well done, I think this is my favorite Ontario brewery!

I finally got around to trying this beer! Bottle from the LCBO, this beer poured a pale cloudy blonde with a minimal head. The aroma was complex and laced with notes of Apricot, Trappist yeast, zest, dough, herbs, spices, and the smell of fresh cut grass. The taste was even better, with a distinctive Belgian palate but infused with some very inter nesting notes. Including Orange peel, biscuit, fresh flower petals, yeast, spice, herbal, and a mild bitterness with a very dry finish. This reminds me of a Champagne, but much better. A bit boozy, and a dry warm bitter-sweet aftertaste. This beer was well worth the wait!

Aromas of wheat, cereal, lemon, stone fruit, yeasty dough, wild flower honey and floral notes. A cross of wheat beer and Belgian ale....boozy finish with a creamy palate, light hop presence. An interesting beer but not something I would necessarily seek out. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750ml bottle. Pours like a champagne. Fizzy, quickly dissipating head and no lace. Yellow gold (Lovibond 7) colour. Aroma is of Trappist yeast (like Chimay) and orange peels. Definitely a Belgian style. Tastes are complex and clamorous, though not out of balance - just complicated. Sweet and hoppy and bitter and malty and alcoholic. Carbonation is low to moderate. I expected more satisfaction from this.
