2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
from bottle, slightly opaque straw coloured pour. sticky sweet aroma, oranges, pepper, juniper. Fruity body, predominantly oranges with sweet malty notes coming through before finishing with a bitter bite. Aromatic in the mouth aided by the carbonation. Deceptively high abv imo, Iíd perhaps be more inclined to have more if it was more sessionable or a smaller bottle. Not really to my tastes iím afraid but happy I gave it a shot.

Golden clear yellow pour with medium sized white head. Aroma of coriander, yeast, sweet malts, and yeast. Taste of yeast, cotton candy, malt, spices, slight citrus and a slightly dry finish. Carbonation was high. Excellent beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From my delightful parents who got this in Ottawa: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma has berries, a bit of Belgian yeast, no hops, and some sugar. Taste is slightly sweet. The plethora of ingredients does not really come through for me. Instead, I get something pretty good: a light, but full, Belgian ale that tastes like something with a fraction of the alcohol. If I was drinking this blindly, I would have almost had thought that this was a Belgian "single." All the flavors are nice, but they are exceedingly subdued. I enjoyed this, and at my second glass, I think I feel a buzz coming on.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Kind of looks like a tripel. Hazy yellow with off white head. Lively fresh aroma of yeast, grains, sweet malts, citrus, banana. Taste is sweet malts, yeast, candy, nice bitter hop element here, too. A great beverage.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a very macro-ish yellow, with a massive white frothy head. Nose of spice, yeast and booze. Nice start. Crisp and lightly sweet with just enough carbonation to keep it drinkable. Nice boozey bready triple. Tropical fruit, light fruity wine. Finish is a little chalky. Iím not quite in Belgium, but itís close.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
May 19 2012. 750ml bottle with swing top cap. Pours clear amber with thin bubbly off white head dissipating to ring and little clingy lacing. Aroma is orange hops, grass, yeast and herbs. The taste is sour hops, orange peel, fruit, honey, yeast, spice, sweet, sour, and bitter finish. Interesting and way too confusing. Too much going on in one beer. Oily mouthfeel with a dry finish. Even the palate is confusing. Definitely an "oddity" as they suggest.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2013 70mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear golden colour with some thick pillowy white head which dissipates slowly leaving a bit of lacing, has some very nice long lasting tiny bubbles as well, like a good champagne. Smell is like an IPA, citrus, herbs, but with a slight sweet note, maybe banana. Palate is a bit oily and the carbonation is a bit too strong for my liking. Taste is not at all what I expected, lots of bitter IPA notes, most herbs, but then quickly gives way to some carbonation, a lot of sweetness, and then a bitter finish. The best way I can describe this beer is a bitter tripel. Good, and truly odd. I like.
