Each year the tempered thaw of Muskoka winter gives rise to new and strange creations. Legends date back to the 1800’s when lumberjacks and fur traders took to the woods and ecnountered the mysterious culture and wildlife in the unknown Northern region. Today, we echo our ancestors’ quest and have unearthed this season’s most distinct offerings. The culmination of these ingredients rests in the LEGENDARY MUSKOKA SPRING ODDITY brew.

We invite you to Release The Legend.

Ingredients: Pure Muskoka Water, Heather Tips, Juniper Berries, Sweet Orange Peel Shavings, North American Malts, Noble Hops, Belgian Yeast and Belgian Candi Sugar.

After allowing the foam to dissipated, the aroma is clear Belgian yeast and herbs. The taste is orange hop oil, orange peel, chamomile and other herbs, coriander, dill. OK drinkability. Interesting, though not something I could have for a while. Beige head on medium yellow body.Smooth mouthfeel.

Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Has a sweet aroma of hops, grass, berries, hay and grapes. This beer is pretty full bodied for having such a light appearance. Interesting flavors, can definitely taste the belgian yeast. It finishes with a nice underlying bitterness that I feel comes from a mix of the orange peel and juniper berries, and the hops obviously. Very interesting beer, but I was expecting all the ingredients in it to be more present.

If your brew comes in a box it better be damned serious. This beer is not serious enough. It’s good, but not in-a-special-box good. This yeasty beasty also smells of caramel and old toffee, some dankness indeed on this hazy, light amber and thin headed fiend. Quite boozy, floral honey-sweet and bubblegummy. A low fizziness and medium heavy body on this brew. I was hoping to taste more of the wacky ingredients they added but no dice.
