A flavored ale. One of the best ones I had last summer. Brewed in Ontario and not what I was expecting from the region. Has a ton of great flavor, what I notice most are the juniper berries. Fairly light for an ale. Good head. Loved it, one of my personal favorites.

Excellent new beer! One of my new favourites. I have tried many new beers over the last 2 years because I’m tired of the same old large brewery tastes. It is hard to find craft beers that have great aroma and taste. Spring Oddity has accomplished both along with a nice appearance.

750mL swing-top from my likbo. Pours a very lively gold with a large white foamy head. The aroma bursts out of the glass, and is very impressive. The Belgian candi sugar really stands out nicely, along with minty hops, pale malts, and a subtle hint of juniper. Some sharp dryness as well that is a little perfume-y, I’m actually really into the aroma of this one, it’s fantastic. Flavour does not disappoint, with lots of the same sharp characters. The hops definitely have a presence, but over-all it’s the sweeter aspects which really shine. The malts have a sort of richness to them that compliments the mild spice character well. Feels medium on the palate, not a big beer but certainly not light. Not much in terms of booze, and the after taste is fruity like a good Strong Belgian Blonde. Muskoka really pulled this one off well, and it’s a fine addition to the Ontario seasonal beer scene. I think this one really needs to be consumed closer to room temp in order to allow the best aspects of it to flourish.

Aroma is mild but nice.. Floral and yeast. It’s a crystal clear almost cidery color, little bubbles forming a small head. Taste is amazing. Complex combinations of sweet and bitter, flowers and spice and caramelized sugar, a bit of a burn from the alcohol and some pepperiness from the yeast. Definitely an oddity, but definitely very good. Bottle shared by kevinsenn.

Wow, Muskoka just stepped up its game! 750mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours crystal clear yellow, with a thin head. Great Belgian-spice aroma with some floral notes. Unique floral flavour, with a funky burning spiciness near the end. A slightly funky, sour, dry, bitter finish. Medium-bodied with good carbonation. Terrific stuff; Muskoka has quickly become one of the best breweries in Ontario.

I finally got around to trying this beer! Bottle from the LCBO, this beer poured a pale cloudy blonde with a minimal head. The aroma was complex and laced with notes of Apricot, Trappist yeast, zest, dough, herbs, spices, and the smell of fresh cut grass. The taste was even better, with a distinctive Belgian palate but infused with some very inter nesting notes. Including Orange peel, biscuit, fresh flower petals, yeast, spice, herbal, and a mild bitterness with a very dry finish. This reminds me of a Champagne, but much better. A bit boozy, and a dry warm bitter-sweet aftertaste. This beer was well worth the wait!

I really enjoyed this beer. Purchased at LCBO, I recommend to give it a try.

Pale straw-coloured pour. The aroma is bright and citrusy. Some coriander and a bit of strong orange peel. There is also another sort of fruity note tucked in behind the rich spicy Belgian malt. A lot of bright peppery character and a little bit of lingering bitterness. Solid. Really, really damn good.

750ml bottle, 2012. Hazy banana yellow/gold, big sticky head. Herbal and piney, plus some sour orange peal, Belgian yeast and a little high end lavender soap in the aroma. Sweet and some tart sour, citrus. All the stuff from the ingredients list is present in the taste. Body is quite smooth and dry, medium to light for the strength. Overall, I enjoyed it quite a lot, but it seemed a little busy. Definitely recommended, though.
