3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
12 ounce bottle thanks to pushkinwow . Pours a clear amber color with a medium sticky white head. A great nose of resin and citrus. Very sweet, massive resin, light pine, candied oranges, linger bitterness, finishes with more resin and orange. Awesome. A bit harsh at times, but excellent brew. I think I’m the first non-Canadian rating of this! Great beer.

On tap att bar hop - not a great sample, little buttery in the finish, otherwise might have been a good double IPA - Will try again and revise the review based on second taste.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Quite impressive. Nothing like the original Mad Tom, and I have to say I prefer it over the original. Citrus notes, high in bitterness, yet, the high alcohol is not easily noticed. I very much enjoyed this beer

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours clear gold with a slight fine white head. The aroma is very citrus-hoppy, with a bit of pine (nothing compared to normal Mad Tom), earth and amber malt. The taste is crisp up front, medium bodied, malt somewhat standing up to strong hopping. The hop finish is grapefruit dominated. This is very different from the standard Mad Tom, but still really good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2012 2012-12-04. Quick notes. More bitter and stronger tropical fruit character, with more of an oily/citrus peel quality to it than in the bottle. On tap at C’est What, Toronto
2012-11-23. Crisp orange body, small beige head. 3+ Aroma is quite hoppy, grassy notes, fruity tropical fruit notes, citrus that is not quite grapefruit, tangerine. 7++ Flavour is similarly quite hoppy, lots of fruity hops, tropical fruit, mango, modest bitterness throughout. Alcohol is nearly invisible, lingering tropical fruit, modest bitterness.. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate is a touch lighter than expected, but adds to the drinkability. Pretty nice stuff. 3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bouteille de 355ml. Merci Patrick. Bière blonde dorée avec une mousse crémeuse. Le nez est bien houblonnée avec de la verdure, du conifère. La base maltée supporte tout ce houblon. Finale amère sur le houblon. Digeste, facile et bonne.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a dark amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and earthy hops is quite dominant. Taste is also dominated by loads of caramel malt with maybe a tad too much sugar and some notes citrus and resin hops that are quite powerful. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed though I think I actually prefer the regular Tom over this one.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a 2 finger white head that retains well and leaves some really nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel with some mild citrus. Taste is a bold citrusy hop bitterness with a pronounced caramel and grainy malty sweetness. Medium to heavy body with average carbonation. Nicely balanced and quite tasty. Recommended to try.

Bottle. Dark amber with nice head and hop nose. Doesn’t scare you away with scent or flavour. Solid malt, alcohol and strong hops. Buy a four pack and take your time.
