While the legend of Mad Tom is laden with mystery and intrigue, one thing remains clear: Mad Tom did things his own way. Twice as Mad Tom is an aggressively twice-dry-hopped Imperial India Pale Ale, that delivers a definitive hop aroma & unabashedly big bold flavour. We brew this beer with the road less traveled in mind, and in the spirit of old Mad Tom...we make no bones about it.

A great double IPA. Pours a copper colour that gets darker toward the head, nice foamy white head, and lacing. Floral citrus honey aroma. Taste is sweet honey, bread, bitter hops, quite resinous. Excellent stuff!

355ml bottle, 8.4% a/v Pours a light copper with a generous tan head. Aroma is largely citrus and grassy hops with a bit of caramel malt. Taste is much the same, very strongly hopped with the majority being citrus and grassy types. Not a perfectly balanced beer but I prefer hoppy beverages so it works for me. Definitely cannot taste the 8.4% though it does warm the stomach! Great job Muskoka!

On tap at Milo's pub in London on. Alcohol tasting. Very bitter. Too boozy for my liking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to cfrancis for this. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a small off white frothy ring. Aroma of big citrusy grapefruit hops, resin and malt sweetness. Taste is well balanced citrus hops and sweet pale malts. Very smooth for the high abv and intense hopping.

Pours a clear golden amber colour with a nice white head leaving some lace. Aromas are sweet citrus, and some pine, not overpowering. Flavours are sweet citrus, some pine, medium-high bitterness, dry finish and some pleasant lingering bitterness.

Matt got this one in a trade and was kind enough to share. +++ sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark orange-copper color with a medium sized foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet tropical fruits and grapefruit. The flavor was dryish and very bitter with moderate tropical fruits and grapefruit. The bitterness lingers forever with some tropical fruits also sticking around. Medium body. Too bitter but some really nice elements here.

pours clear bright golden with a nice creamy white head, some retention and lacing. plenty of citrus, some pine, crisp pale malts, toastiness. few phenols, strawberry-like and citrusy medium hopping for a medium long and balanced finish. soft carbonation, medium body - oily. good!

On tap at Sir John A Pub. Very little head and didn’t pick up any aroma. Thick full body and I picked up pineapple, mango and apple flavours but no pine flavours.

From 330ml bottle at Brother’s Beer Bistro. Aroma: Hard time sticking out but I could find hoppy citrus accents, especially lemon. Appearance: Pours clear with nice creamy head. Little lacing but nice and sticking well. Taste: Hoppy with citrus and grass notes, tiny cereal notes are also in there. Mouth feel is round and unctuous; body is medium to full and malt / hop flavors are well balanced. Aroma and flavors are not complex enough but it is a very well balanced beer with a warm mouth feel.

355 mL bottle from the LCBO (Bank and Walkley, Ottawa). Poured a clear amber, with minimal head. Initial aroma was of fruit and pine. I was expecting a blast of hops, but instead it was quite mild. Nice pine and citrus hops, but not as bitter as I was hoping. Still, a pleasant beer with a solid malt backbone. The malt is warm and doughy, all in all a great beer and very drinkable!
