1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Had not idea it was a double IPA. Smells like and IPA. My wife will love this. Itís got that IPA bite. That choke your uvula grapefruit tartness. I know itís a character of the style, and one I donít like. I guess Iím one of the few people who arenít fans of what seems to be a Canadian pale ale revolution. Now I get that breweries are like "Keithís isnít a real pale ale" but Iíve had more than enough attempts to usurp that throne. Note is you havenít figured it out yet, I donít like true pale ales, and I totally get that some people, my wife included loves them and to each their own.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle bought at the LCBO in Toronto/Canada. Overall a mind-blowing dIPA for me! The brew has it all. Malt, hops and bitterness aroma and taste perfectly balanced with a hidden alcohol character plus a bunch of fruits, citrus and grapefruits mild flavor. An excellent dIPA.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from West Coast Liquor, Burnaby
The cleverly hidden bbd says it should have been consumed before 18 Oct 2013
It pours a hazy orange-amber color with medium head. Some aroma of caramel and fading hops. Lean body, malty, not too sweet, with mellow caramel, pleasant fruity hops, a bit of sweet orange, correctly bitter.
A good beer although unfresh. Iím willing to try again the new batch.

Smells sweet, woody and syrupy and almighty hoppy. Pours slightly cloudy and fold, slight white head.
Tastes malty and rich, buttery and sweet. Medium body, low-moderate carbonation, bitter and slightly astringent.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2014/05/12 - Pours a translucent burnt orange colour with a frothy, off white head that laces nicely. Aroma is HUGE caramel, grain, pine, citrus and mild tropical fruits. Taste is sweet caramel, grain, pine, grapefruit, orange, citrus and mango/tropical fruits. Aftertaste is lingering caramel sweetness and bittering hops. Medium body with smooth carbonation and a long, drying finish. A great "go to" Ontario DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Much sweeter than the Mad Tom IPA. A little smoother drinking and not so bitter.

Bottle from Bierkompass.de, March 2014.
Slightly hazy orange wiith a white head. Aroma and taste of hops, orange, grass and some mango. The finish was bitter. Not bad but it felt a bit "tired".

Wow... intense hops to the nose, a power-packed grapefruit, citrus kick to the tongue! How bad boy is this beer? Itíll pull down your pants, steal your lunch money and hit you in the face with a dodgeball. And thatís after it makes out with your Mom and posts it on YouTube. Twice as Bad and Mad than weíll ever be. One of the finest IPAs in Canada
