Bottle: Served in a Chiuffe glass: Medium sized creamy beige head. Deep dark ruby. Aromas of roast, chocolate, raisin, mocha, some red fruit... Flavours of malts, caramel, light roast tone, some raisin, some soy, cranberries, hint of raspberry... Aftertaste is malty, red fruit, wood, toast and bitters... Low carbo, lightly thicker than water and a more than medium bodied.

Dark brown pour with red highlights. Tan head that leaves a thin cap of lace. Aromas of dark chocolate, licorice, sour berries and toffee. Much the same in the flavour profile. The cranberry doesn’t come through until late and follows into the finish. Good, interesting stuff but seems to fall outside the stout category in my mind.

Bottle. Dark brown pour, not much head. Cocoa and cranberry in the nose. Flavour is fairly sweet, some cranberry and cherry, chocolate, cocoa. Thinner and sweeter than I remember from the 2013 release, a touch cloying and not very full-bodied for the ABV. Would be more impressive if it were a 5% stout, but as it is... Nice flavour, but not incredible.

Deep brown black body. Very minimal tan head. Earthy qualities on the nose, floral notes, vanilla, fig, old orange zest, chocolate, not getting much fruit. Some dark fruit, if anything similar to that you’d notice in a quad on the nose. The cranberry quality is presented in a very minimal tartness. Alcohol is predominant in the finish. Lower percieved bitterness than expected, but still some lingering bitterness on the finish.

A nice stout, very heavy on the chocolate and cranberry flavours. A bit lacking in richness and roasted malt flavours but decent overall.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Deep brownish amber colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some sour wood, liquorice, vanilla and some earthiness. Flavour is very similar, but has more of ripe fruits, plum and some berryish notes to it.

Bottled at SBWF. Dark brown, minimal head. Choclaty nose. Mid sweet with full body and runded mouthfeel. Cocoa powder and loads of caramel. Candyish milk chocolate finish. Too candyish and shallow.
