FOXY TALE - Session ale / Luncheon ale. 3.7% A sneaky little number offering some easy drinking light relief from all those hop bombers. Ideal for those who like to spin a yarn over some time or have expensive / dangerous machinery to operate after lunch.

Bless the session ale, for it allows us old buggers to have a few pints and not fall off our bar stools. Rich amber with a skim of white head and some evident carbonation. The aroma is malt driven with definite woody notes from the hops. Mild alcohol content doesn’t mean mild flavours as this has generous malt, dwelling in orchard fruit and fruity pastry along with red bark and mahogany. There’s a decent twinge of bitter as well, carrying the flavour along to an elegant finish.

On tap in the beer garden at the brewpub. 3.7% ABV
Amber with excellent clarity and a decent head.
Feel: Near medium body with medium carbonation.
Aroma: slightly malty/bready pilsner. Very floral. Very good sweet/bitter balance leans slightly towards the bitter side. Mildly bitter aftertaste.
O: Decent but not worth seeking out.
