COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Waving wheat sure smells sweet, and nothing says O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A better than a crisp, refreshing, wheat beer. Brewed with Oklahoma Red Wheat, American and European barley, and Cluster and German Hallertauer hops. 5.3% ABV and 14 IBU’s. Developed by our good friend and award-winning home brewer of 25 years, Gary Shellman. This may very well be the perfect wheat beer. Washita Wheat will be available in six packs and on tap at select locations.

Not an exciting beer. Light wheat aroma and grassy notes. Normal off-yellow average beer color with a white head. Watery palate with decent carbonation. It’s a light wheat beer. Wheat and pale malt notes with a slight hint of bitterness. It’s easy to drink with a burger but not exceptional.

Draft. Hazy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of lightly spiced lemon. Taste is bready citrus bubblegum.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Poured a clear yellow, with a very small white head which rapidly faded and left no lacing. No nose to speak of, and not much flavor, if any. Bland, flavorless lawnmower beer. Ugh.

Light golden color. Aroma is of wheat, malts, slight prune and a little grape. Flavor is of sweeter malts, dark fruits, wheat and yeast. Leaves a sweeter malt finish.

A mediocre wheat. Thin and hazy with a medium body. Some citrus notes but with a stale aftertaste.

Bottle - golden cloudy with a thick foamy head. Fizzy carbonation, wheat, grass, yeast. Medium mouthfeel. Ok beer as far as wheat beers go.

As wheat beers go kind of run of the mill. Nothing outstanding in taste or aroma, not much on the palate. Crisp and refreshing but very average.

Rating from notes, drank 12 Jan 2014 -- A so-so wheat. Could use a little more malt presence.

Beer of month club. Pours cloudy gold color. Nose is a funky malt - not all that pleasant. Taste is...well, a whole lot of nothing. There is almost nothing to it - a little wheat, a little malt, a little sweetness but this is not very flavorful. On the other hand, it's not like it tastes bad. There is just not much there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
