2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Maria (9631) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 5, 2007
Draught at the brewery. Dark brown with a nice, creamy head and the aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel and some citrus - not very powerful. The flavour has notes of slightly burnt caramel, hops, grapefruit, spicy yeast and a hint of nuts. I would like it to more true to the type, more smooth and not quite this bitter - it is after all a Brown Ale. 2475
