2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very sweet and classic stout. Taste with dominant toffie and caramel sweetnees, hints of liquorice. Appears brown with fast disapearing head. Overall a little too weak of a stout for my taste.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is coffee and nothing else, apart from anything hard roasted malt. The flavor is coffee with light touches of English licorice, while some water and partially hops left aftertaste follows. It belongs certainly not the best stouts I have tasted, conversely, I think it tastes good, based on its (only) 5.0% alcohol.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
*Old rating from 2011. Malzig-rötiges Bier. Süffig, nicht viel Säure. Ein Hauch Nuss, mild, leicht süßlich und dennoch trocken. Moderat bitter im Nachgeschmack, weich-nussig, lecker!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Medium beige head. Clear deep dark brown body. Earthy roasty
outdoor toilet (yes, really, though not the worst aspects, just
the earthy musky bit) aroma with mealy notes. Dry-sweet roasty
earthy mineraly taste with caramelly licorice notes. Mid-bodied.
Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty mineraly
aftertaste with sooty caramel notes. Nice, drinkable, has
admirable aspects, but ultimately fails to please. (0.5l bottle,
from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pours nice with an airy, light brown head. The nose is indistinguishable, but reminds me a little of cat piss. A little toasted malt after that. It's a thin and slightly bitter stout. I wish I'd never tasted it.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy but stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and butter, with notes of milk coffee and yeast. Roasty and sweetish flavour of malt and coffee, with hints of liquorice. Sourish-sweetish aftertaste. Not bad but would be better without tha buttery notes.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with translucent edges and nice carbonation. Nose of vanilla, dark malt, and treacle as my UK friend said, or molasses. Taste of the same plus a bit of anise. Pleasantly surprising after a few misses from this brewery. Very well balanced and complex for a lighter stout.
