Growler. Light copper color, thin tan head. Medium fizz. Aroma of ginger, toasted rice, earth. Flavor has a harsh bitterness, essence of rice, flavors of toasted cereal, some wheat, burnt sugar. Woodsy, earthy finish. Dry, medium bodied. Sticky mouthfeel. I can’t really get over the the bitterness. It is very tannin-like & tastes like I’ve been chewing on a stick from the backyard. Very Colonial indeed. (3502)

Tap at Fullsteam. Hazy amber with a light off-white head. Nose is nicely spiced and pretty interesting and not offensive-actually smells like beer! Flavor is more what I expected--quite watery, bland, mix bag of spices, and metal.
