COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Caribbean has a long tradition of sweet, fruity stouts that are delicious and refreshing in hot weather. While continuing that tradition, we’ve upped the ante on refreshing by adding lemongrass and fresh lemon zest.

For those with very discernable palettes, many different undertones can be conceived, from citrus and blackberries to bold malty goodness.

Pretty tasty stout. Definitely unique. Some dark roasty taste but a lot more earthy grassy notes. Its just surprising how light and bright and green it tastes when you look at the dark pour. I like it, mostly because it is weird without being awful.

Draft sample at the 9th Annual Summertime Brews Festival, Greensboro, 7/13/13. Pours a clear dark brown color with a thin head. Poor head retention. Aroma of big lemon notes, soy, roasted malts, chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, earthy and herbal hops, dry lemon. Medium bodied.

Sample at the brewery. Pours a thick almost-black color with a somewhat thick head. The nose on this is definitely sweet with quite a bit of fruitiness. The taste itself isn’t too sweet, and come of the chocolate comes through in the taste. Glad they still had this.

Pours deep opaque brown with a thick tan head. Nose of roasted coffee beans and lemon. Thick mouthfeel but suprisingly light finish. Very interesting brew and worth a second try.

Pours dark brown and sits black in the glass. Light tan head. Nose is rich and roasty, dark grains in the forefront. Notes of bitter cacao and spent coffee grounds. Some acidity and coffee roast with a mild showing of bakers chocolate. Crisp with a bit more carbonation than expected.
