4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cloudy brown body, small white head. Fairly strong and complex aroma, lots of dried fruits (plum mainly), banana, alcohol, different sweet malts complexities. Flavour has lots of malt complexity, really sweet, dired fruits (still mainly plum), brandy like notes with plum in it. Full body, medium carbo.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus @ Drebus’ birthday tasting. Opaque murky dark brown color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts, brown sugar, dark fruits. Taste malts, dark fruits, brown sugar, pretty sweet. If this was brewed in The Netherlands or Belgium I think this would have gone into the Belgian Strong Ale category instead of Quadrupel. Medium body, decent carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ benzai. Dark amber to brown colour with a medium sized off-white head. Smells sweet, raisins, not a lot of smell. Tastes very sweet, raisins, wiebertjes, applesyrup, more raisins, brown sugar. Full body, nice carbo. Doesn?t taste like I?m somewhat used to from a barley wine or quadruple.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear very dark mahogany brown body with a small tight bubbled creamy beige head that faded to a wispy film. The aroma is strongly fruity with intense notes of plum and dark cherry. Heavily malty, lots of dark caramel and a bit of alcohol. Moderate yeast influence. The flavor is less sweet than I was expecting, with lots of plum and fig fruitiness. Finished with a moderate alcohol kick and a lingering dark chocolate like note. Not quite as layered and complex as it’s classic Belgian counterparts. Still, pretty solid stuff. Full bodied and chewy with light soft carbonation and a big of cling on the back end. Interesting beer, wouldn’t pick it over a Rochefort or Westy, but worth trying.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
375 ml bottle purchase at Redstone Liquors back in the summer. Deep dirt brown color with fast vanishing head. Aroma is deep layers of plums, dates and Belgian candi sugar.
The flavor is much like the flavor. Lots of caramelized malts, sugar and yeast. Body is a tad on the lean side. ABV is totally masked. Tasty but real pricy for a 375 if I recall correctly. Seems like the price of every brew is raising... Anyhow if you like the style go for it!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Trubeer, I think. Dark brown with long lasting fluffy tan head and lace, noisy pour. Spicy yeasty woody boozy aroma with hints of caramel and chocolate and some ripe cherry. Caramel candi sugar brown sugar maple syrup with subdued ripe boozy fruit subdued tobacco woody earthy bitterness with a hint of smokiness and very clean finish. Soft full mouthfeel. Can’t figure out what isn’t fucking excellent about this. Bravo!
