Bottle from Julioís. Poured into a tulip. A hazy lemony yellow color. Thin head that fades to nothing. Some sediment in the glass. Fruity-herbal aromas. Some lemony citrus, pear and apple notes. Earthy bitterness in the middle. Dry fruity finish.

Bottle:   Dirty straw, large rocky sandy head, clumpy lacing.   Soft spicy nose, seems like some sort of peppercorn.   Musty straw and wheatiness on the tongue, along with some of that peppercorn I got on the nose.   Some other spices as well.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Smooth finish, wheaty, with a peppercorn sort of flair.   Fairly clean example, and thankfully not mealy as so many Saisons are.

Draught at Area Four, 9/20/15.
Lightly hazy bright peachy-golden with deep copper tints and a large white head that fades to cover.
I had three pints of this and the first one I drank before reading about the beer. Definitely went to Mysticís website to ascertain whether or not this was brewed with citrus fruits added. Itís not, but suffice to say, itís VERY citrusy. In about the best way possible, thankfully, with no grapefruit or bitter/astringent rind character but rather juicy tangerine pulp, meyer lemon and fresh juice oranges. Kind of tastes similar to a mimosa, with the sparkling zippy carbonation somewhat mirroring a champagne. Attenuation is high, leaving only light bread dough, sponge cake and light honey notes from the malt side of things. The nose is delightful, however, despite being fully citrus hops. Goes down very nicely, with the bready malts soaking up the citrus and balancing the bitterness. Not intensely saison-like, but I happen to love Sorachi Ace and even though they kind of dominate this thing, I found it extremely quenching and drinkable. If youríre going to go American Saison, then something like this is FAR superior to the bitter, grapefruit and resin-hopped versions that seem to be the norm.

Bottle. Hazy yellow/orange with a large white head. Nose has dust, peach, kiwi, honey. The flavour is dominated by sweet tropical fruits; golden kiwi, peach, passion fruit, lychee, honey. Some sweet citrus, candy, dill. The sorachi shows more than the tettnang. Filling sweetness, mild acidity, light/medium bitter, fine soft carbonation. Good balance. First time I try a sorachi saison, it somehow works in a messed up way.

Nice saison, finishing dry and bitter. Aged a bit from Burlington trip. Yellow with mole spore head. Yeast and orange citrus oily hops create tasty drinkable stuff.
