3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
My mom got me a bottle of this at the New Pioneer Co Op in Coralville, IA. The body is light gold and clear. Aroma is fairly strong with some light dandelions and Granny Smith apples. There is a slight smell of lavender here. A thin and slightly sticky body is pleasant and different for a mead. The taste has notes of Jonathon apples and some slight woody notes. There is a little bit of grass in the finish. A decent mead that I quite enjoyed drinking.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Medium dry finish with an odd aftertaste of citrus orange which my server stated was the astringence from being bottled. This one is well balanced as far as sweetness goes but my wife and I seemed to prefer the other mead they had Seifu’s Tej. Try both. Servings are free and no dollar is necesary at this winery!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear gold. Great fruity aroma, sweet. The aroma reminded me of Niagra grapes actually. Sweet, honey flavor, but not heavy sweetness. Initially out of the bottle, there is a bit of an odd aftertaste, but that disappears after about 5-10 minutes exposure to air in the glass. Clean palate, and again, not a clinging sweetness. Very enjoyable. If you are in Watkins Glen, the winery is only a few miles north of town and worth the trip.
