4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 Multiple samples at GABF 2013, like probably 15-20 ounces. All Pils malt and all Saaz hops on the spec sheet is what intrigued me. I didn’t realize I was in for a beautifully classic rendition of DuPont... floral, lemony, minty even, somewhat tart, mild to moderately phenolic. Pilsner malt gives it a fresh baked bread quality while the juicy, herbal, spicy hops provide a salivating, quenching acidity. Strikingly hop-driven saison with a minty, green, sharp Saaz character but all of softness and rusticity of DuPont.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A pleasant surprise from a local swap. Aroma was nice and crisp with grass, citrus, and barnyard. Pours blonde with a big warm head. Taste is light with rye, lemon grass, and a light hay funk. A perfect saison in my book. I would gladly drink a night of this one.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear golden yellow color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate fruit, floral and yeast aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy floral bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectation where exceeded.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy pale yellow with a thick, foamy white head...nice retention and lacing. Aroma has some dry spicy hops, a touch of leather, and an underlying sweetness like candi sugar. Flavor is spicy and leathery...hints of fruitiness...with good spicy hoppiness...no sweetness or candi sugar here. Mouthfeel is medium and silky/creamy with a dry hoppy/spicy finish. Somewhat Dupont-like and a nice saison.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy pale white gold with a white head that quickly recedes to the edge of the glass. All I can smell is cereal, like sticking my nose in a box of Cheerios. Taste is pale dry malt, a touch of saaz (pilsner) hop spice, and a little tropical fruit.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a strange (and hazy) yellow with no head, so no lacing. Aroma is spicy, saison-y with a light floral hops presence. Taste is ultra dry and lightly bitter. Flavors of fresh cereals, fruits (the unidentified kind) and spices (black pepper?). Body is light and mouthfeel is bordering on watery. Carbonation level is high. Quite drinkable but not outstanding.

Cask at GBBF 2013. It pours hazy pale yellow with a small white head. The nose is smooth, apricot, peach, berry yoghurt, grass, hay and spice. The taste is peach, apricot, nectarine, yoghurt, earth, hay and spice. Medium body and fine carbonation. Smooth and easy going, but not much to it. OK.
