A saison for the summer. Made with pilsner malt and Saaz hops…it’s similar to a pilsner with more spice and light fruit. 6.5% abv.

Cloudy pale yellow frothy head. Light fragrant yeasty smell but the scent of the pilsner malt appears too. it is thin with a dry hoppy bite that funks out a bit, Aftertaste is musty.

750ml bottle. Lively straw pour with tons of foamy white head. Nose of Belgian yeast, lemon, straw and barnyard funk. Taste follows the nose. Medium dryness and light on the palate. Carb on the bottle lasted long past 24 hours after opening. Good stuff.

750ml, batch 7: Dull golden. Dense and rocky white head sustains itself beautifully. Remarkably perfumey and invigorating aromas of sea air, rose oil, pastry cream yeast, candied aniseeds (mukhwas), wildflowers, herbs, white pepper, cracker. Creamy, tight carbonation. Phenolic surge gives way to refined malt and a honeyish viscosity. Alcohol overexerts with considerable warmth, but a punch of creamy yeast coats the tongue and lessens the heat. Candied aniseed seemingly arises from nowhere, with its subtly sweet yet bright residue looming in the wake of the woody dryness and an intriguing tandem of rose oil and potpourri. Sturdy malt-derived vanilla cake notes align with the yeasty muscle, though the body’s weight is nicely lightened by a sassy white pepper tease which restores balance and aids drinkability. Coarse, saliva-inducing tartness wavers in and out amid the fluffy malt and scratchy yeast. Ripe splash of jammy apricot esters pillar the core as they echo the succulent floral whispers. Malt is clean but nicely supportive in its delicate cookie and lightly toasty piecrust grip. Airy, peppery phenolics cleanse the palate and amplify the dry, well-attenuated body, as flower petals, buttery dandelion, and yeast linger. A very idiosyncratic example with a delightfully singular yeast character that, after a single whiff, transports one back to a creekside Belgian meadow. Just lovely!

750 ml bottle shared with Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden yellow color with a huge fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor have nice grassy and herbal hops, yeast which lends a spicy character, moderate sweetness, bread, mild funk, lightly tart with some floral notes especially on the nose.
