3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a first, 12.68 oz c&c bottle, hmmm looks like the RR and Lost Abbey bottles, have they been misleading us? Either way poured into a plastic hotel cup because I am in a hotel in Woburn, MA. Big pop of the cork with an all head pour, stupid plastic cup. After a few tries I get beer in there. Thick medium clarity dull golden colour (yeah, I am going Canadian on this one) with a pillow of cloudy foam. Thick ass lacing. I will take Dany’s line and say this is a "comfortable" saison. Its good on all accounts but a little too much esters, just a tad too sweet, at times a tad blunted as well. But the nose has a nice rustic character and pretty straight forward saison. But I am in Pretty Things country, so I need some more jena se qua from my saisons.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 375 ml. Bought at Redstone (Stoneham, MA). Pours hazy golden with medium creamy white head. Slight particles. Commercial description fits fairly well to describ this one. Strong presence of pilsner malt (too much for my taste), but it comes along with citrus, spices and lavender. I’ve sen better saison, but this one certainly worths a try.

Prominent Saaz hopping, which is not my top but up front flavour. Thanks for sharing, Americo.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours cloudy light yellow with a solid sheet of bone white bubs. Smells of grain, clay yeast, some floral notes and a good hay/squash/butter combo. Flavor is all about this awesome yeast: bread, lemon rind, grass, cornmeal, really nice flavor that is simple, but carries some nuances I just can’t articulate. Medium bodied with moderately hi carb and a semi dry finish. Nice beer. I really dig it.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with a fizzy, clean white head. Aromas of citrus, grain, yeast, light funk, and spice. Flavor is sweet citrus, yeast, spice, pine, light bitter end. Light, dry and crisp. I like the balance between sweet and bitter.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy straw yellow pour with nice lacing white head, aroma brings notes of nice cracker, biscuit, acidic malts, hints of grass, spice, yeasty notes, touch of earth, soft pils malt as well. Taste is a mix of nice grass, biscuit, slight peach and white fruit but subdued, hints of earth, grass, grain, slight spice notes, finishing fairly bitter, dry, nice.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 Multiple samples at GABF 2013, like probably 15-20 ounces. All Pils malt and all Saaz hops on the spec sheet is what intrigued me. I didn’t realize I was in for a beautifully classic rendition of DuPont... floral, lemony, minty even, somewhat tart, mild to moderately phenolic. Pilsner malt gives it a fresh baked bread quality while the juicy, herbal, spicy hops provide a salivating, quenching acidity. Strikingly hop-driven saison with a minty, green, sharp Saaz character but all of softness and rusticity of DuPont.
