Aroma is interesting, its definitely brett, just faintly goat oil, mostly herbal and a sweet funk. Flavor is a bit bland, sweet still, a bit candy-ish, and just faint brett with a minor whiff of goat oil. I love the idea, take some local brett and make a fine beer. It needs more work and some more time but I love the idea. Probably a few extra points for the idea more so than the execution.

Bouteille 375ml. De couleur ambrée foncée et voilée. Nez de levures fruitées légèrement acide et sûres (raisins verts, léger de prunes vertes et de pommes vertes, notes d’agrumes), moyennement terreuses aux notes épicées (poivre doux) et rustiques, moyen de grains de céréales sucrés, léger de houblon floral et herbeux avec des notes de pain et de caramel. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture aux petites notes crémeuses. Goût de levures fruitées aux notes acides et sûres (moyen d’agrumes, léger de raisins verts aux faibles notes vineuses, léger de prunes vertes), légèrement terreuses, rustiques et épicées (poivre doux) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un moyen goût de pain avec des notes de grains de céréales sucrées et de caramel doux puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume asséchante de houblon herbeux aux notres florales. Post-goût moyen et un peu sec, composé d’un goût de levures fruitées (pelures de prunes vertes, léger zeste d’agrumes, traces de pelures de raisins verts) aux notes terreuses avec une légère amertume de houblon herbeux.

Bottle shared by Drew (from Kan, I think). Pours a deeper gold with a huge white head. Nose is really cool. Estery and white wine like. I get plums, light cherry and stone fruit. Subtle pils malt and honey. On tasting, it doesn’t really come together. Moderate sweetness and a rough quality. Lot of metallic type notes as well. earthy and candy like. Light tartness as well. Pretty clean overall but the yeast just doesn’t seem to finish up here.

Bottle, pours hazy bet with white head. Aroma has red wine, plummy, cherry pit, bretty, candied sweetness. Flavors sweet candied cherry, earthy middle, tin, stripped out feel, astringent finish. Great nose.

I usually love these guys but this was a bust. Overly malty and very boring yeast. I expected complex yeast flavors and esters but got nothing of the sort. An odd tasting belgian ale with lots of maltyness.

12.7oz bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours brown with a light beige head. Aroma of sourness, some fruitiness, and some caramel malts. Flavor about the same with a little fruits compared to the smell. Average texture. A decent beer for the style.

Served in a Mystic Saison glass. Nose has faint spice and leather. Faint dark fruit. Flavor had plum and cherry. Mild earth. Moderate funk. Dry and a bit leafy.

Draft @ Prohibition Pig. Half pour. Nose is lightly funky yeast with a mild tartness. Taste is subtle funk with a slightly herbal taste. Has a mild grassiness to the flavor. The flavor is rather interesting. Unique stuff. I really enjoy this brewery as a whole. Nice job with this one!

375ml bottle pours a hazy, dark orange with some creamy, white head. Nose is malty, orange, light cranberry. Flavor is sweet, fruity, orange, pear, some bitter greens. Decent. Sweet finish.

375ml, thanks nmann08. Clear amber body topped by small off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, some spicy, cranberry, bread. Taste is moderately sweet, plum, orange, caramel, Medium body, light acidity, low carbonation. Farmhouse ale, but not a saison.
