Pindoc (120) - SWITZERLAND - SEP 7, 2014

330 ml. bb 02/2015. Big nose of polecat dissipates after a bit to include some small notes of toasted corn and honey. Clear pale golden with a film of cream and some nice legs. Tastes of scorched popcorn, rice, honey, dry grass and a touch of salt. Light body is too fizzy but has a decent balance.

Bottle at the Greek restaurant down the road. Very light yellow, lively carbonation, big fluffy white head. Smell of creamed corn, wheat and artificial vanilla. Taste is saccharin sweet with an almost undetectable bitter at the end. Palette is weaker than water, looks fizzy but tastes flat. Unwelcome saccharin aftertaste. Insipid.

12oz bottle at Nostos in Tysons Corner. Pours a clear, dark gold with lots of fluffy white head. Nose has grass and corn notes, mild lemon, a little yeast. Flavor is a bit weaker, crappy malt, lightly buttery, corn, a little metal. Watery finish.

Botella de 33 cl de el c. Ingles. Tomada en julio de 2007 (con fecha de cons pref para 02-2008). lote 7033AP. Sin mucho que resaltar, fácil de beber, cuerpo ligero con 5 vol y bastante comercial, refrescante como mucho.

Alengrin (2464) - BELGIUM - AUG 24, 2014
Tasted from can. Greece’s national standard lager, simple and weak aroma of clean pale malts and aromatic Styrian hops; taste clean and crisp, honest but very straightforward. Totally lacks personality, like most standard lagers, but acceptable especially if you consider Greece has no beer culture worth mentioning.

ninecats (202) - Uddevalla, SWEDEN - AUG 24, 2014
Pale yellow with a white quickly dissipating white foam, no lacings. Aroma is anonymous, with light bread, grain, corn, alcohol (?). Taste is about the same with even less detectable ditos, some cardboad. Finishes wattery with some, again, alcohol. Light body, medium carbo. Meh, (barely) works in the Rhodes heat in august.

Bottle (330 ml). Courtesy of mathieuc, thanks! Clear pale yellow with a small quickly disappearing white head and little to no lacing. This smell like they dry-skunked the beer with at least two pounds of skunk by liters of beers... or is this skunk extract? The taste of this beer is probably a good way to learn that skunk isn’t something we shoud eat. Body has the shape of a skunk. Maybe my mind is tricking me, but even the carbonation seems skunky. Ok, this goes directly down the drain and I think I need a huge glass of tomato juice NOW!

No retention and no lacing. Smells of sweet bread, cereal and malt. Tastes of cereal, straw and malt. No aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Like American Miller made with better ingredients. Hints of corn, rice, still has a skunkeness like a good European lager. I’d say this one sits between good lager and cheap lager.
