1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Pours a decent yellow with ample head, but it smells like a skunk’s rear-end. Tastes like malted skunk oil. Weak mouthfeel. Glad I only bought a single.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This was basically the only beer available in most bars in Crete, unless you wanted to pay £3-4 for a pint of Guiness. I don’t know if it was the weather or what, but this always went down a treat both after sightseeing and with a meal. It’s a fairly typical lager in that it pours a clear and fizzy orange/yellow, which supports an ample-sized white head. Not much in the way of aroma; mildly sweet and malty at best. The flavours are of quite generic caramel(ish) malts with little else and an almost non-existent bitterness. The body is thin, but this adds to the refreshment. No real complaints; it’s an easily drinkable lager and quenches the thirst nicely in 40 degree heat.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear golden, huge head, not great lacing or retention. Aroma is lightly skunked but a little more interesting than most of the international lagers I’ve been having lately. Grain, bread and even some vague fruity notes are here. Lighter body. I could drink this again... not that I’d want to.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours an amber, honey yellow with a small head. Smells of sweet malts an lint. Taste is watery and sweet with some honey and molasses maybe. Grassy hop flavour too. Medium thin body.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear yellow with a two finger frothy white head. The aroma is sweet, grassy, corn. Thin corny taste, highly carbonated palate, kind of crappy.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle. Head is initially small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain, bread), lightly hoppy (herbs), with light notes of metal and sulfur/weed. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately bitter, slightly husky. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively/fizzy carbonation. Did my best to get an unskunked bottle from the back of the cooler, but there’s a little of it anyway. Malt character is a little more "normal" compared to other international lagers, with some hops noticeable as well. It’s still not very good, but you can do a lot worse. Bland.

12 oz bottle; nose of grassy, lightly skunked grain; clear gold with a big disappearing white head; flavor is grainy and slightly sweet, with a tiny smidgeon of hops in the finish.
