330 ml can. Dense short-lived white head. Brilliant pale yellow-golden body. Sweet cereal to the nose. Vague scents of grassy hops. Taste is light malty-sweet and light sour. Almost hopless. Fizzy mouthfeel. Skinny body. Noteable bitterness in the finish. Mediocre all over.

Draft in Athens. Premium beer? Not quite. A slightly below average European lager. Not remarkable in any way.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Big bubbled clear-golden beer with a dense, white head. Vanilla, milkripe grain. Unfortunately, going over in a nose of wet malt going bad. Still milky, however. Metallic tasting beer, not hoppy, on a sweetish underbuild. The metallic character is really overwhelming; retronasal I get some cabbage. Spritzy, light, near watery. Somehow, it works out better with a Greek meal à la stifada - even when then, I must confess, I prefer a heady dark Greek wine. In itself it is a wee bit nasty.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
[323-20070530] 500mL. Light metallic alcohol and yeasty grain aroma. Clear, golden yellow orange body with a quick white foamy head. Direct flavour is grainy yeast and metal, some alcohol noticeable. Light body. Typical large production lager-esque (but somehow nicer in the Greek mountains, munching on stuffed peppers and tomatoes).

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle -- Pale yellow with a medium white, quite dense head with good retention and ample lacing. No visible carbonation. Aroma is weakly malty. Mouthfeel is watery but not too bad for the style. I enjoyed the flavour if this one, which is malty wth some sour btterness at the end. Not too bad.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
A mid yellow to orange coloured beer with a thick white head. No distinctive aroma, maybe a trace of malt. Thin and fizzy mouthfeel, the taste is dry with a minute hint of malt and an even fainter trace of hop. The finish is dry. Served in an ice cold glass, straight from the freezer, which helped drinking. Things only got discernable when it warmed up, but this didn’t make it any better! (Draught - Hotel Lido Star, Faliraki, Rhodes, Greece).
