Bottle. Poured pale gold with a large white head. Aroma was corn, hay, faint hoppiness. Flavor was sweet malt, corn, grass. Slightly redeemed by nicely lagered taste and mouthfeel. Easy drinking. Quite forgettable.

12 oz bottle at Zorba’s Cafe in Dupont Circle. Bland, weak and uninteresting. Not much to offer here.

Bright clear golden with a white head. Aromas are grainy and dominated by glue off flavours. Pronounced co2 propelled, watery and thin body. Grainy crreal short sweetness and glue flavours, then nothing. Finish is ... What finish?! Unpleasant!

Clear golden color, white head. Yeast nose, light fruity and malty, hint of marzipan. Sweet malty taste, bread, low bitterness, light notes of earthy hops. Light body, average carbonation.

bog standard yellow water with bubbles. at the time pretty much the only universally-available beer we found in Greece other than Amstel. Tried once, after that just stuck to water...

0,33l Flasche. Sehr helles Gelb, weisser Schaum. Citrus und Bitter Noten. Geschmack flach und herb. Gibt es je ein gutes Bier in einer grünen Flasche?

Bottle. I drank half, the other half went in to a batter that would be used to make onion rings which accompanied tonight’s steak dinner. Good steak. Great onion rings. I saw a TV show once that scientifically measured the best way to make batter for frying. They tried out every method but the thing it really comes down to (apparently) is the volume of bubbles in the liquid you use. Makes sense to me. Some people use fizzy water. Anyway, it worked well. Great batter. On a side note, the portion which I rank was basically everything I expected it would be.
