Jonte (273), Gothenburg, Sweden Oct 22, 2007 Cask at Bishops Arms, Gothenburg. Dark brown almost black color with a light brown head. Aroma of cocoa/chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, light caramel, vanilla. Tastes of roasted/burned malt, coffee, chocolate, licorice, dark fruit and some hop bitterness. Low carbonation. Long dry finish. Exellent porter/stout. JensenTaster (1413), Denmark Aug 15, 2005 (on bottle at RBESG 2005)This I dig. Pitch black colour, small white head. Coffee, cabesugar and molasses aroma, coolness. water mouth, really smooth, bunrt barley taste and if it dosen´t come back and give you a nice fresh finsh, some cardemomme I think or a least, a perfect carbonation. MrWalker (928), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 15, 2005 Cask @ Akkurat, Stockholm Pitch black. The blackest beer I’ve ever had. It’s black! Massive. Lots of dark fruits and chocolate in aroma. And liquorice. Likewise in taste, plus some velvety pleasant maltiness. It leaves you with a sweet moreish aftertaste. Furseth (1048), Kungälv, Sweden Apr 22, 2007 Draught at the Rover Göteborg:
