Roasted, malty nose with roasted grain, coffee, liquorice and tar. Roasted, malty taste with notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, tar, dark fruit, wild berries and a long finish with lots of coffee bitterness. Medium body, slightly sweet. Another great porter from Närke. Impressive! ekstedt (1785), Göteborg, Sweden Oct 22, 2007 Draught at the Rover, Göteborg, Sweden. Pitch black with half an inch creamy beige head. Quite complex roasted malt aroma, some fruity notes along with coffee and a weak touch of liquorice. Cannot pick out the fresh hops that are supposed to be there though. Medium to thick in body with smooth mouthfeel. Very good balance, a nice porter throughout. pilsnerrogge (1577), Finspång, Sweden Jul 26, 2007 Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse No 68, Stockholm Black with a thick head.
