carboy7 (1), Washington, New Jersey, USA does not count Apr 8, 2006 Excellent. The color was very dark to black. The head was thin but lingered till it was finished. The taste is chocolatey and earthy. Very nice! sayravai (2964), Helsinki, Finland Oct 27, 2005 (Bottled) Almost black, reddish color with a small but lasting, beige head. Very licoricey, very roasty, quite smoky aroma. The aroma is something like in Koff’s Porter, with added licorice and smoke. Strong licorice, cough syrup, strongly roasted smooth malt in the sweetish flavor. ABV is well hidden, but warms you nicely. Quite full-bodied, slicky-smooth palate with low carbonation. Sweetness sticks to the lips somewhat. A very enjoyable, full and smooth, licoricey and balanced porter. A definite must-have! lgklotet (396), Stockholm, Sweden May 24, 2007 Draught at Akkurat. Pitch black, some head. Very hefty malt profile, bitter and roasty, almost to the point of being to bitter. Another amazing brew from Närke, keep it up! omhper (10039), Stockholm, Sweden May 28, 2003 Sampled draught at Svensk Fatölsfestival, Nynäshamn
Very black with brown head. Aroma of licorice and chocolate. Sweet, roasty and very malty, rounded and really sodt. Notes of sour malt, grass and licorice in a finsih with balanced bitterness. A big and very complex beer, being the pilot brew from a brewery being built up. I am mightily impressed, and wish the all luck in the future!
