Ungstrup (10432), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 27, 2005 A black beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted with some notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted with notes of chocolate, coffee, plums, and over ripe fruit. Thanks to the brewery for giving this to RBESG for free. omhper (9704), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 28, 2004 Sampled draught at Hagges Bärsklubb, Nynäshamn.
Very black, rich brown creamy head. Loads of licorice. Creamy and full bodied, really rich and chewy. Surprisingly dry, a hint of molasses. Salty finish. Papsoe (9242), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 8, 2006 Updated: Oct 11, 2006(Bottle 25 cl) Black and opaque with a small, off-white head. Aroma of lightly burned malt. Solid and full-bodied with both sweet and burned malt and a slightly ashy edge. A lightly malt bitter finish. 260806 Oakes (6556), Miami Beach, Canada Jul 17, 2006 Updated: Jul 23, 2006Årgång 2005, Bishop’s Arms. Colourwise, this is pretty damn black, oily-looking and headless. Big nose of Irish whiskey, burnt fruitcake, chocolate, raisins, dense dark malts, tamari, alcohol...it takes a while to absorb all of this. Wow...just took a sip and did not expect that. Yes, it’s got some oiliness to it, but it’s surprisingly deft in body. The flavour has toasty elements leading the way, but they’re smoother and more stylish than any toastiness I’ve ever encountered before. Like a voluptuous Keemun tea, this shows an abundance of malty character, hints of Belgian dark chocolate, almonds, wood and a slight smokiness. Both rich and light on its feet, Stormaktsporter is a unique proposition to say the least. And a very tasty, fully realized one at that. Kick ass. sk8viking (5997), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 23, 2005 Updated: Feb 7, 2006Bottle. Black colour with a baige head. Sharp roasted malty, dark chocolat aroma and a roasted coffee, chocolate taste. Medium to full body and a light alcoholic finish. 7-5-7-4-16
