Nice beer. Pours an almost stout-like black with shade of brown, tannish brown head, sweet carmel aroma that seems a bit weak, the flavor made up for the aroma with a heated sugary carmel flavor and burnt sugar on the finish. I’d like to give this beer a higher rating but the nose lacked a bit.

Oct 3, 2008 Winter ale bottle, I believe it was via trade. Pours dark dark pretty much black with a tan head. Nose is roasted and sweet but light on the aroma. Taste is sweet malty and overall quite tasty.

Oct 3, 2008 Very dark pour, with a thick mocha head. Looks like a porter. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and alcohol, and a tiny bit of hops. Flavour is thick, and loaded with roasted malt, and some caramel, but ends with a big alcohol wallop. A definitive sipper.

Oct 2, 2008 Brewed in Norway !! This ale pours a dark brown / black color with a dissipating tan head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, and chocolate. The taste is of dark malts, chocolate, spices, and a hint of coffee. The mouthfeel is robust and kind of sweet but finishes a bit on the dry side. This was a yummy brew from Nogne...... :)

does not count  Sep 30, 2008 Dark and scary looking. Almost glutinous as it comes out of the bottle. Sticky, sweet, thick, cloying. Pretty unpleasant.

Sep 11, 2008 22oz bottle. Very dark pour, tan head. Not much of an aroma really, can’t make much out. Pretty good flavor, dark and fruity, not bad.
