jbrus (4056), Delft, Netherlands Apr 22, 2008 Bottle@Home. Nice strong complex aroma with prune, laurel, licorice and a little lactic. Red brown color, light brown head, good lace. So far, so good. But then I tried to drink it. This is heavy stuff! Complex but too much in my opinion. Where’s the balance? What is there is strong dark dried fruit, strong licorice, very bitter, ashes, wood, charcoal, grass. Stuff like that. Bitter dry finish and alcoholic. This is too much for me.

Interesting aroma of chocolate and leather, very animal. In mouth, a wallop of a brown ale, with bitter chocolate, coffee, caramel malts, grapefruits, licorice, with a rich oily mouth feel. Like eating 90% cooking chocolate. Bieropholie import, BB 12-03-09
