Pours black with the darkest head I’ve ever seen on beer. Also the thickest beer I’ve had the pleasure of tasting. Dominated by coffee and chocolate, but lacking a lot of that vinous bitterness/sourness that usually accompanies such deep flavors. Has an excellent malty bitterness that rounds out the beer quite nicely, and the alcohol is hidden perfectly. Truly a wonderful desert winter warmer.

Quite the thick dark head on this beast. Took up almost half the glass, but damn if it didn’t look nice. Aroma is strong roasted coffee and some hop floral notes. Mouthfeel is smooth and ends chalky. Flavor is a great blend of rich malt chocolates and bitter coffee. It has a great end mingling of the bittersweet and the chalky. A very solid imperial stout, but nothing I would go out of my way to get again.

Pours dark black with small dark brown head layer; intriguing lacing. Smells of roasted mal, smokey; almost meaty in some ways. Taste is rich, full semi-sweet chocolate, coffee undertone; smokey throughout. Finish is dark chocolate and an almost summer-sausagey lingering taste with hints of wood chip smokiness. Warming and pleasant. Very Nice I.S.

Bottle shared by footbalm, a beer I’m really anticipating. Pours a pure black color with a medium brown head. The aroma is very nice; tons of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate mocha notes, some alcohol too. The flavor was actually initially quite bitter and full of hops, mostly though it consists of a sweet brown sugar, chocolate and mocha coffee flavors, some vinous aspects and light roasted malt. Nice.

Stumbled upon this on my last trip to Cyclone liquors and figured I"d give it a try. Usually not a big fan of stouts but this one was really enjoyable. Taste of coffee with dried plums and currant on the palate. Finish is a bloom of oaky and hazy flavors that’s a little sharp on the back of the palate but not too big. Pours black with a dark amber head. Great beer.
