mdm46410 (543), Griffith, Indiana, USA Aug 18, 2008 Poured from a 500ml bottle and served in a pint glass. This beer poured a cloudy amber with a spongy head of beige foam. Great retention, leaving behind some nice lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of grapefruit and oranges, and some light caramel. Pretty standard for the style. The flavor consisted of mildly bitter grapefruit rind, light mango, and oranges. A bit of caramel in the background. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with light carbonation. As it stands, this was a nice APA, but I would love a chance to try a pint from a freshly taped keg. A_R (293), Georgia, USA Aug 15, 2008 There was a very hazy appearance for a pale ale. The flavor was stong for a plae, bordering on that of an IPA. Nice taste, waith a good blend with the malt. Kalli (404), Falun, Sweden Aug 1, 2008 (From the archive)
Matt amber with rapidly disappearing head. Hint of malty peaches and fresh piney, citrusy hops aroma.
Resiny hops dominate flavour over a mild body of sweetish malts. mybestfriend (250), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy deep golden colour with a white head. The aroma is freshing with lots of hops - both citrus and tropical fruits. The flavour is full of hops as well. Grapefruity bitterness with notes of citrus fruit, pine needles and fruit candy. kiefdog (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 7, 2008 50cl bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy amber/orange with a thick, off-white, two-finger head that settles slowly. Good head retention and glass lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus, ripe apricots, flowers, fresh hay. Flavor is sweet malt, grapefruit, spices and a hint of flowers. Medium-bodied with a bitter, hoppy finish. Nice pale ale.
