steview (783), Oceanside, California, USA Apr 27, 2008 light citrus, bread aroma; low to medium carbonation; a bit rich, buttery, with a somewhat sticky palate; this is an alright brew.
emerica56 (481), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 7, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow orange with no head at all. The nose is very bland and there is not much to smell. The flavor is kind of bland as well, it is kind of earthy and very bitter. The flavor dies right after you finish each sip and it is kind of watery. Overall it is an alright brew but could use some more flavor. sirpsycho (190), Murrysville, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange, thin off-white head. Aroma is spicy, touch of citrus. Flavor is spicy, touch of citrus, also a touch of yeast. Nice finish, nice beer. Starting to become a favorite style of mine. frankenkitty (1798), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Sep 25, 2008 Extremely dense, this Saison pours a thick-hazed amber body beneath a wet head of white soap suds. Yeasty aroma, cheesish and lemony. Mild cardamom and pepper. An aroma which makes my mouth water. Gorgeous meld of flavors runs from sweet to tart with herbal bitterness to temper and finish. Thick bodied, smooth, fluffy... long-lasting on the palate and quite satisfying. Rather than drinking this on a hot summer day (as suggested in the commercial description), might I suggest to wait until the cooler days of fall to enjoy this in the true spirit of the Saison-style? I’m certainly happy that I did.
Since I can no longer provide you with an extremely helpful html link to the bottleshop’s RateBeer page, I will simply mention that I bought this pint bottle about a month ago at Kenwood Liquors in Oak Lawn, IL. austone (447), Turku; Pori, Finland Sep 22, 2008 Brewed 4/07. Golden, firm white head w/ nice lacing. Green pepper, berries, little sourish, funky nose. Smooth wheaty maltiness. Grainy, well hopped citric flavor, menthol finish. Soft yeastiness. Medium bodied, very smooth carbonation. Not a farmhouse saison, but good anyway. trapez (226), Hilleroed, Denmark Sep 13, 2008 Bottle 0.5 l. Malty aroma with some fruits. Clear light yellow colour with white head. Baitter flavour although mixed with fruits and herbs
