Draught at the brewpub
Dark brown color. Some caramel aroma. Good body strength, but a bit too much roasted malt and chocolate for me.

Jun 18, 2008 (Draught) Pours a very dark brown colour with some red hints. The aroma is medium malty with some roasted tones of chocolate, coffee and dark bread alongside some toast. Some liquorice. Light to medium hoppy with tones of flowers and grass. The flavour is of roasted malt with tones of chocolate and light coffee. Some grass and toast in the flavour as well. Some liquorice in the finish. The mouthfeel is soft but also very crisp. Some hop bitterness and some roast bitterness lingers. Medium bodied.

May 7, 2008 Deep brown colour with an off white head. Roasted malty aroma with vague coffee notes and hints of fruit. Dry, roasted malty flavor with a chocolate sweet note. Vague hoppy note in a light roasted finish.

Apr 27, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a longlasting off-white head. Roasted malty aroma with hints of chocolate and licorice. Sweet roasted malty licorice flavor with some hints of chocolate. Has a dry roasted malty finish.

Mar 13, 2008 (On tap) Clear reddish brown with a small, off-white head. Roasted malt aroma with a light fruitiness. Light in body with dry, roasted malts and some vanilla. Vague ashy notes. The finish is dry and the carbonation is a little high. But a very decent brew. 080308
