Commercial Description:
North Bridge Extreme is the brewers gift to Anders on the 1 year aniversary for the opening of Nørrebro Bryghus. It is inspired from the South-West Californian triple IPA's. It is brewed on English ale-malt, adjusted with different colormalt and spiced with enourmous amounts of hops. A dark golden extremely bitter ale with a distinct hop aroma.

05/05/08 at Gastropub Nordic. Deep amber with a creamy, filmy head. Aroma is resinous and faintly sweet with a weird mämmi twang pushing through. First sip is surprisingly smooth -- could be a lot pricklier. Bitter, but not engagingly hoppy, with some after-the-fact stickiness.

Bottle ( 500ml ) Shared with blankboy and garthicus. Cloudy red-amber, large, lasting fluffy mottle tan head. Smells like a barleywine - alcohol, medium roast malt, dry resin/leaf bitterness. Taste reminds me of Arrogant Bastard - fairly strong alcohol, solid not-too-sweet malt body, well-balanced by dry resin/citrus bitterness; big, but not over the top. Thick, astringent, decently carbonated, a long dry malt and boozy finish - good stuff!

Thanks to HogTownHarry, shared with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Nice cherry colour, ever so slightly cloudy with a nice eggshell coloured head. Aroma: Nicely hopped with strawberry, malt, spicy and bitter. Flavour: Hops, lots of bitter hops, spices, nice fruitiness too and a good alcohol bite to it. A long hoppy finish. Nice!

Quite dark amber in colour, aroma is hoppy but sweet with a big malt foundation. Flavour is similar with a dominant sweetness balanced by a extreme bitter ending. Quite fruity and toffeish.

Old notes from DØE Valby 07. Randalized version. Extreme hop but still in balance. I really like this beer. When i got it, it was tje hoppiest beer, i have ever tasted (a few hours later did I taste Mikkeller hop juice, so that record didn’t last long).

Bottle: Pours cloudy and light brown, big bubbly head. Aroma is very sweet and malty, peppery, plenty of fruits. Flavour is awesome - toffee malts and sweet fruits all disguising a heavy hop bomb, exceedingly well balanced. Unexpected and beautiful, had no idea it was over 9% based on what I was tasting. Excellent work.

500 ml bottle from Bev4less. Pours a hazy copper-amber with a big fluffy off-white head that has good lacing. The aroma was that of a barleywine style brew. I get plenty of complex fruits.but not much hops on the nose. The flavor is more of the barleywine style, sweet fruits--raisins, dates, plums, with a touch of biter hops and some hot alcohol showing through towards the back end. The mouthfeel is full, smooth and malty. The finish is long and biter-sweet. Overall: I’m guessing that this bottle is well past its prime since its all barleywined-out. I get zero IPA character. As a barley wine however, its quite tasty, and my rating is for that style.

Copper color with a light tan head. Earthy brown sugar and spicy hop aromas. Medium body. Good flavor is on the sweet side, with candi sugar, floral and fruity hops, with toasted caramel malts. Nicely bitter finish.

This beer pours very cloudy and dark brown. It has a small but thick tan head. The aroma is delightful with over ripe sweet citrus fruit and pine being prominent. Brown sugar is also noted. Flavor offers a huge sweet malt profile that is sugar and toffee. That sweetness more than offsets what would otherwise be a monstrous hop base. There is very little tartness to those hops but gobs of sweeter citrus and pine. Hops should have been more prominent but this was a tasty beer that is also unique.
