Commercial Description:
North Bridge Extreme is the brewers gift to Anders on the 1 year aniversary for the opening of Nørrebro Bryghus. It is inspired from the South-West Californian triple IPA's. It is brewed on English ale-malt, adjusted with different colormalt and spiced with enourmous amounts of hops. A dark golden extremely bitter ale with a distinct hop aroma.

05/05/08 at Gastropub Nordic. Deep amber with a creamy, filmy head. Aroma is resinous and faintly sweet with a weird mämmi twang pushing through. First sip is surprisingly smooth -- could be a lot pricklier. Bitter, but not engagingly hoppy, with some after-the-fact stickiness.

Bottle (rating from notes). A hazy brown with an off white head. Rich, bitter, and full bodied. A nice sharp pine hop finish.

Pours an off amber color with generous white head that retains well. Aromatic on the nose, mostly a clean, orangey to general citrus quality. Barleywine-like on the palate with some signficant malt to balance the hops, but the orange citrus hops cut through like a razor. This beer is almost a little sharp, reminding me of those cinnamon altoids that are fresh but burn oh so good.

delicious!! I read some of the reviews which said this wasn’t hoppy but I disagree. it smells and tastes very hoppy, but also has powerful sweet and malty character unlike a typical west coast ipa. To me this is similar to the hop rod rye or yulesmith. nice work norrebro

Bottle:   Fiery caramel, large foamy light beige head, wonderful lacing.    Flora, hops, minor pine, and candied citrus peel on the nose.    Smells delicious!    Smooth quenching sweetened hop flavor on the tongue.    This is not your average bitter beer, but one that when first take a gulp you want to continue as it is much smoother and sweeter than most, all while remaining quite flavorful and aromatic.    Doesn’t have a huge bitter background.    Malts are moderate, but lend themselves well to the moderately hopped flavor.    Minor sweetness, a little dry.    Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.    Fairly clean finish, nothing detracting.    Fairly well balanced, sweeter than most, and without an over excess of hops.    I tend to like my Imperial IPAs fairly malty, and certainly not overly hopped.    This was kind of in the middle, not as big in malt yet not as hot in regards to bitterness.    Good stuff, just not sure if its as good as the $20 price tag.    Still happy to have tried it tho.

Bottle. Amazing beer! Pours cloudy and dark brown with lasting tan head. Wicked aroma of sweet malt, brown sugar, mild citrus, and pine being prominent. . Flavour offers a huge sweet malt profile with nice toffee. Big hops is balanced by lots of sweetness. A big tasty beer!

Bottle ( 500ml ) Shared with blankboy and garthicus. Cloudy red-amber, large, lasting fluffy mottle tan head. Smells like a barleywine - alcohol, medium roast malt, dry resin/leaf bitterness. Taste reminds me of Arrogant Bastard - fairly strong alcohol, solid not-too-sweet malt body, well-balanced by dry resin/citrus bitterness; big, but not over the top. Thick, astringent, decently carbonated, a long dry malt and boozy finish - good stuff!

Thanks to HogTownHarry, shared with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Nice cherry colour, ever so slightly cloudy with a nice eggshell coloured head. Aroma: Nicely hopped with strawberry, malt, spicy and bitter. Flavour: Hops, lots of bitter hops, spices, nice fruitiness too and a good alcohol bite to it. A long hoppy finish. Nice!

Quite dark amber in colour, aroma is hoppy but sweet with a big malt foundation. Flavour is similar with a dominant sweetness balanced by a extreme bitter ending. Quite fruity and toffeish.
